This custom M135i gets a 2 Series facelift.
BMW is recalling a 156,137 vehicles, both luxury cars and SUVs, to make sure bolts holding a component in their six-cylinder engines can break loose and cause stalling or engine damage.
BMW says it has told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that in rare cases, bolts holding the variable camshaft timing unit may come loose or break, causing the engine to go into a “safe mode.” If the problem continues, it can lead to stalling, engine damage – and it may not start.

Well fellas, I finally took delivery of my M235, late yesterday here in Indiana, and I wanted to provide some initial thoughts to others on the forum.

The 1 Series Coupe and Convertible era has officially come to an end.

1 Series: There won’t be a 2014 1 Series Coupe and Convertible in the US market, production of the 1 Series Coupe ends in August 2013 while the 1 Series Convertible will be produced until June 2013.
Automotive News is reporting that BMW has greenlighted a 1 Series Sedan on the UKL platform, meaning the entry level sedan will be FWD. Like it or not (and we don’t), FWD BMWs are coming. The first of the front wheel powered BMW models to come to market will be the 1 Series GT, spied here undergoing Nurburgring testing.
It has been developed on BMW’s UKL platform, a FWD platform which will be shared between the new MINI Cooper to be revealed in a couple of months, and the upcoming FWD BMW lineup.
The final 1 Series GT design has recently been revealed in a set of patent design images.
