The F20 1-series continues its testing rounds, spied for the first time in silver color and the new wheels style in these photos. Not much remains for the imagination, except perhaps the front headlights, which, like all previous F20 prototypes sports camouflage taped in a manner to trick the eyes into thinking they are larger than actuality. The yellow camouflage tape on the side mirrors conceal integrated side view mirror turn signals (close-ups here), the first of its kind on a BMW.

The all new 1-Series hatchback (a car not likely to come to the USA) is expected to make its World Premiere at the Frankfurt Autoshow in September (see http://www.bimmerpost.com/future-bmw/).

And in usual BMW fashion, the Coupe body style (F22) should arrive roughly 1 year later, … CONTINUED

The Russian customizers who made the notorious Gold X5M are using their creativity and bravado once again, this time putting together a beautiful matte silver 135i. We’ve seen plenty of matte gray and black BMWs, but few matte titanium silvers. It proves to be stunning under interior lighting, but especially gorgeous out in the night under highway lights. New on the Geneva show floor today is this 120d 3-door featuring the full array of BMW Performance parts. Although the E81 hatchback will soon be replaced by the next generation F20 1-series hatchback, this remains a hot little hatch, especially with the BMW Performance parts installed.

This particular model also had certain BMW Individual parts adorning it - such as the high-gloss shadowline trim and headliner anthracite.

The full list of packages and Performance parts on this car are extensive, please refer to the image below for full details.

It seems the guys over at BimmerFile were invited to Munich to tour BMW AG and got to see and sit inside a few examples of the F20. They weren’t able to take photos, but did offer their insight into the car. They say:

“… the interior is getting a significant upgrade in quality of materials. The new look will be much closer to the X3, 5 and 7 series interior design and layout. In fact every F20 I saw the dash of had at least a small screen a la the X3.”

“Outside the shape is much more handsome than the previous 1er hatch. The three door especially has a great shape do it with the higher belt line making it feel slightly more coupe like.”

“… the … CONTINUED
