See the now famous 1-series-to-1M V8 conversion in action at a Red Bull drift race, in which it took first place. It’s piloted by one of Egypt’s top race car drivers – Rami Serry.

The car has now been sold to a famous oil and additives German company LIQUI MOLY EGYPT, which bought the car for their marketing, advertising and events purposes.

We’ve seen some major conversions and projects from our 1 series owners and this is one of the best yet. One 1ADDICTS member has taken his E82 120d and converted it into a 1M-bodied car with the S65 V8 engine from the M3!!

Our live coverage from Geneva 2012 continues. Another world premiere is the F20 125i equipped with the just-launched M Performance Parts. Unlike the old Performance Parts, M Performance parts have been developed with M engineers. Also unlike the old Performance Parts, M Performance exterior parts are designed to complement the M Sport package. The front splitter and lip simply attach to the M Sport front bumper while the rear diffuser simply replaces the rear diffuser of the M Sport package. BMW Car Magazine undertakes a fraternal twins rivalry comparison in pitting HP Autowerks’ BMW 1M coupe against its tuned 135i coupe.

The tuned 135i coupe is equipped with DCT transmission and tuned to be 400+ HP / 420 lb-ft torque with piggyback tune, intake tubing, M3 suspension arms/bushings, coilovers, and exhaust system.

BMW’s new 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine (the “N20″) may be down on cylinders and displacement compared to the inline 6 cylinder (N52) that it replaces across BMW’s model range, but even in factory form, it matches the outgoing N52′s horsepowers and features an extra 30 lb-ft of torque (in the X1 xDrive28i, X3 xDrive28i, F20 128i, 528i, Z4 sDrive28i, and upcoming F30 328i).

And what the N20 loses in smoothness and top-end pull compared to the outgoing N52, it now looks like it will easily make … CONTINUED
