Every year, the crew at IND makes their annual pilgrimage to Germany not to simply take a trip or take a vacation, but to remember why they work at IND - to reaffirm their commitment and love for sports cars.
As before, this year’s trip took them from Eisenmann’s Stuttgart based manufacturing facility, to the Frankfurt IAA, to the Nurburgring. Check out the German automotive adventure they have along the way in their excellent journal inside.

The plan was to raise the number of BMW M automobiles sold in Singapore tenfold – and that in only two years.
Both BMW Group Asia and Anthony Chan, Managing Director of Munich Automobiles in Singapore, believed in the potential of BMW M in the world of high performance cars.
As such, work began on the implementation of a concept that was unique in the world - the world’s first dedicated BMW M dealership.
As exclusive as this approach is also the service, which Munich Automobiles has been offering prospective and actual buyers of M automobiles since it first opened its doors in July 2010.

Official preliminary specs on the Akrapovic exhaust systems for the BMW 1M Coupe have finally been released by Akrapovic, at the 2011 Frankfurt IAA. There are two exhaust systems available - an axle back and a cat back system. The preliminary figures indicate a +15hp / +19Nm tq gain, with a 16kg weight reduction over the factory 1M exhaust system. Videos, pics, specs are inside.
German tuning company Manhart Racing has now unveiled its MH1 Biturbo, which showcases their 1M coupe customization program.
The Manhart 1M coupe generates 415hp via an ECU software tune, custom exhaust system (3,799 euro) with stainless steel silencers (1,890 euro), and downpipes (799 euro).
To compliment the extra performance, the 1M has been given more a aggressive look with a full aero kit. The aero kit includes a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, and mirror covers.
The wheels are Concave One forged wheels - 9×20F and 10.5×20R. The program also includes coilovover suspension for enhanced handling.
The complete Manhart 1M coupe upgrade program will cost 27,198 euro.

The AC Schnitzer 1M Coupe has debuted at the Frankfurt IAA. The ACS 1M tuning program includes aerodynamic, performance, and handling ugprades. The 1M’s power has been bumped up to 400hp (from 340hp) with an ECU software tune.
Cosmetic upgrades include a carbon fiber front lip spoiler, metal lower grille, vented hood, extra side fender gill, rear roof spoiler, carbon fiber rear trunk spoiler lip, and carbon fiber rear bumper diffuser.
The factory 1M exhaust has been replaced by a Schnitzer exhaust system with twin silencers. Factory suspension is replaced by a adjustable racing suspension and the brakes have been upgraded as well - 380×35mm brake discs with 6 piston calipers in front, and 355×32mm discs with 4 piston calipers in rear. M3 Adjuster, one of the first 12 civilians to test drive the BMW 1M coupe, as part of the M-power.com contest late last year, has become the first of the 12 to pick up his 1M coupe. His epic european delivery journal can be seen inside. If you like ED photos, you will NOT be disappointed!
We bring you the first photo of the 1 Series M coupe showing the range of BMW M Performance accessories for the 1M coupe. Front and center are the M Performance Stripes, which shares a design with the M3, X5 M, and X6 M performance stripes. Along with the stripes, hand made carbon fiber mirror covers, carbon fiber rear spoiler, and gloss black kidney grilles are also available for the 1M as M performance accessories.
This past weekend saw the first US 1M coupe meet take place when a few Bay Area 1ADDICTS and M3POST members met up for a drive. Three 1Ms and two M3s were in attendance, making for an intimate group. They cruised while M3post member RadiantM3 snapped photos. We can expect to soon see larger and larger 1M meets as more US customers finally take delivery.
