Didn’t get enough of the BMW M1/1M clip from the Nurburgring yesterday? We bring you even more footage in this extended version clip. Over 2 more minutes of footage on and around the track!
As promised, here is the first ever video of the BMW M1 production body test car hotlapping the Nurburgring, as well as footage from near the track. The M1 looks fast and very firmly planted around the turns, with minimal bodyroll, as well as sounding terrific! Not enough? We will bring you more tomorrow!
These are the first photos of the BMW M1 prototype with production body performing hotlap testing on the Nurburgring in extensive chassis and handling. Previously, weve only seen the red prototype running on the track. We will have a video for you later this afternoon, so stay tuned!

The BMW M1 photo with advanced production bodywork was spotted storming the Germany countryside. Sporting the same bodywork as previously seen here, seen is a a more aggressive front end, larger fenders, a trunk-mounted lip spoiler, big alloy wheels and cross-drilled rotors appear.
Spotted during testing on the Nurburgring today was the BMW M1 test mule! This test mule doesnt wear the more advanced prototype M1 body as we posted earlier, but is out testing powertrain, chassis, suspension, and handling properties. We also see for the first time what could be the carbon fiber roof.

Here is it folks! The BMW M1 test mule in its real bumper, widened fenders, integrated duckbill trunk spoiler, upgraded M wheels, large brakes with cross-drilled rotors, and other bits of M goodies!! Although the hood power bulge, quad exhausts, and M side gills are not yet apparent, these are cosmetic items which are simply not yet added to this early production test mule.
What you are seeing here is the clearest teaser yet of the BMW M1 concept which is widely speculated to be making its debut at the 2010 Geneva auto show in just over a week’s time. Wide rear fenders appear on the M1 concept, as well what could be a vent or diffuser behind the rear fenders.
Here are some new higher resolution pictures of the very same BMW M1 mule that has been spotted before. We can clearly see the temporary rear wheel arches affixed to accomodate the testing of a wider track. The production M1 body will sport actual broader flared arches to fit the widened rear track.
The first teaser image of the upcoming BMW M1 has surfaced on 1addicts! The small image shows a beefy front bumper sculpted in latest M-style, with huge air inlets for engine and brake cooling. According to insiders, the M1 will be unveiled in a unique matte finish, after being tested with many different matte finishes (sepang bronze, white, etc.). Colors options will be plentiful, ranging from the current M colors to updates of past M colors, and even an Inka Orange color (from the 2002).
