The very limited production M3 GTS may be difficult to attain, so Japanese tuner Studie has taken a slightly more attainable (though still exclusive) model, the BMW 1M coupe, and given it a M3 GTS look, complete with fire orange exterior paint, black wheels and the high rear racing wing from the M3 GTS. Earlier this month, BMW Car Club of America (BMW CCA) of Seattle held the annual Triple XXX Rootbeer BMW Event. Hundreds of BMWs were in attendance, of all models, years, and varieties.

BMW enthusiasts and tuners gathered for the 2012 Bimmerfest event yesterday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.
The 2012 Eurofest took place this past weekend at the The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey (where the Jets and Giants call home). Cars of all European makes and models were in attendance, but the scene appeared to be dominated by BMWs.

German tuner Tuningwerk transforms the already potent 1M Coupe into a 514hp monster, which they’ve dubbed the Tuningwerk 1M RS.
What they’ve done with the factory 335hp / 332lb-ft N54 engine is given it a ECU tune, modified its turbos, customized cooling system with additional secondary cooler, and replaced factory exhaust with custom titanium exhaust system. This all works to produce 514hp (521PS) and 453 lb-ft torque (614Nm) (from 2800 RPM). Top speed is 186mph.

German tuner Hartge has released its tuning program and cosmetic upgrades for the 1 series M coupe.
For more power, the Hartge ECU tune for the 1M’s N54 engine paired with its sports exhaust system pushes the 1M’s power from the factory 335hp/332lb-ft to 396hp and 391lb-ft torque.
The resulting real-world performance increase? According to Hartge, their 1M goes from 0-200kmh (124mph) in 11.34 seconds (a 2.18 second increase over the factory 1M’s 13.52 seconds). On top of that, there’s an increase in efficiency of 0.5L/km less consumption … CONTINUED
BMW Car Magazine undertakes a fraternal twins rivalry comparison in pitting HP Autowerks’ BMW 1M coupe against its tuned 135i coupe.
