The all-new E92 BMW M3 Coupe may have just recently hit the U.S. market, but that car has actually been on the Australian market for six months now. And, according to the initial sales report, the new car is twice as popular as the previous generation E46 M3 Coupe in the land of Oz.

BMWs next-generation Z4 has replaced its heavy black shell with a
thin veneer of its new graphic camouflage. Despite the vomit-inducing
nature of the Z4s new disguise, its a huge step forward in terms of
assessing the evolution of the roadsters styling. Many of the
polarizing features of the current Z4s design have been toned-down,
for what appears to be a much more elegant look.

Chris Bangles fussy flame-surfacing seems to have been more or less
extinguished, as the side character lines appear to have a more
logical flow throughout the Z4s surface development. The Z4s twin-
kidney grille takes inspiration from BMWs CS concept, as well as the … CONTINUED

In order to keep up with the Jones’ BMW has had to think a bit outside the box. Our sources indicate that the transmission BMW will utilize takes up the same amount of space as the current 6 speeds and will not use additional components. This has been made possible by a completely new transmission concept. We have learned that it utilizes four planetary gear sets and five transmission clutches. Two transmission clutches are unlocked per gear, thus resulting in greater efficiency and a higher overall transmission ratio.

It is touted as being smoother and will reduce fuel consumption by almost six percent; way to go Efficient Dynamics! Since it is the same size as the current 6 speeds, a larger hump or other invasions into the passenger cabin space is … CONTINUED

Not exactly my cup of tea, but regardless…

HAMANN has just released a tuning package for the V8-powered BMW M3 Coupe E92 that incorporates a series of mechanical and comsetic upgrades. While most of us would be easily satisfied with the standard M3s 420 Hp, HAMANN saw it fit to offer two different engine kits. The first tuning package increases the 4.0-liter V8s output to 435 Hp and delivers an additional 25 Nm of torque (series: 400 Nm) on the crank shaft. With the removal of the speed limiter, the M3 can go up to a top speed of 300 km/h or 187 mph.
The second kit called Sportkit HM/M +35 rises output to 455 Hp and toque to … CONTINUED

The facelifted BMW 6-Series Coupe was released almost a year ago, revealing a more dynamic coupe and convertible with for the first time a diesel engine. AC Schnitzer, the Aachen, Germany based tuning house, has set out to further refine the 6-Series facelift model.

Head designer Michele Viandante has worked on a new front fascia with a sharpened kidney grille, new rear-spoiler with built-in third brake light and side skirts which make the car look more flat than before. A sports rear silence with chromed tailpipe finishes the look in the back.

And even if the car itself may look more flat than before, performance is far from flat. AC Schnitzer has performance packages for both the 650i and the new 635d. AC Schintzer … CONTINUED

Tonight was a great night, first I got to ride in awesomem3s E92 M3 to the dealership and back. It was about a 70 or 80 mile roundtrip and even though I was only a passenger, it was a great experience. Thanks for driving, awesomeM3.

One note of caution, following the GPS instructions to avoid traffic jams may take you though neighborhoods (in this case North Philly) that you might not want to drive through in a $70K car. There needs to be a "avoid bad neighborhoods" function on the GPS.

Our meeting was a Main Line BMW in Bala Cynwyd, PA. … CONTINUED
