In a sad set of news, in an interview the director of BMW M has announced there will be no E92 M3 CSL due to the fact that BMW doesn’t think the car will sell in enough numbers to justify the development of such a car. A sad day, but in these economic times I can’t blame them.

BMW is in the midst of its final testing for the U.S.-spec 335d–the first diesel-powered Bimmer to be sold in North America. The introduction of the 335d will coincide with the launch of facelifted sheetmetal destined for the entire 3-series lineup.
Due to e-mission restrictions, the U.S. version of the 335d will reportedly be down on power from its European cousin (265 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque vs. 282 hp and 428 lb-ft.), but even our U.S. numbers–especially the fat torque number–promise terrific performance that may well be enough convince people to make the move to diesel.

For the first time ever, we caught the next generation X3! The current X3 will have to soldier on for a few more years until the arrival of an all-new model slatted for the 2011 model year. Nonetheless, these are the very first spy-shots of Munichs (and Spartanburgs!) compact SUV photographed earlier today.
The new X3s dimensions will hardly change compared with the current one, and its styling will be shaped to reflect elements from the CS Concept. The basic shape will remain much the same, however the new model is expected to feature a more prominent grille plus new wraparound headlights.
Designers will also focus on improving the quality of the interior, as the new X3 will be facing stiff competition from the recently unveiled new Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK.

The entry level BMW 730d will have a base price of 69,500 euro. The fuel consumption is absolutely amazing on the 730 diesel, 32.6 MPG. Moving up, the BMW 740i will start at 75,500 euro and the longer version LWB at 82,500 euro.
The top of the line 7ers, the 750i and 750Li will be selling for 90,000 euro respectively 94,000 euro.
So, here is the breakdown in an unordered list:
BMW 730d - 69,500 euro
BMW 740i - 75,500 euro
BMW 740Li - 82,500 euro
BMW 750i -90,000 euro
BMW 750Li - 94,000 euro
No word on the high-end model, the 760Li yet.

Motorauthority has released this presumably pshop of what the E90 facelift will look like, but it looks pretty damn accurate to the real car to me based on the spy shots we have already seen. Looks like the perfect facelift, not to major of a change, but still good looking.

More photos of the upcoming E89 Z4 have leaked which now include photos of the new interior. It seems to take a whole new take on BMW interior design, one that hasn’t been seen or derived from any other BMW on the market right now.
