Autocar is claiming that the M6 will be no more when the next generation 6-series arrives. Instead, its role will be filled by a V8 sports car based on the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept, powered by the F10 M5’s twin turbo 4.4L V8, which will compete with the Audi R8 head on. This contradicts insider sources which have stated that the Vision ED car is not intended to compete with the R8.
Although not revealing much more that’s new, the 2012/2013 F30 3-series sedan test mules continue their testing around Munich, Germany and spy photographers continue their pursuit and recording. We hope to see the F30 lose some of its camoflage suit soon. Video courtesy of spyshots.nl.
The 2011 Alpina B5 (F10) has previously been spotted undergoing testing around Alpinas headquarters, and it continues to undergo testing as shown in these new photos. Whats interesting about these new photos is the new set of front wheels, which is possibly a new Alpina wheel design? Alpina has traditionally stuck to a narrow range of its traditional wheel designs for its cars and this is no Alpina design weve seen before. The previous B5 test cars spotted featured all wore the Alpina Dynamic wheels. Or, perhaps were simply looking at a random set of test wheels (such as what the rear wheels appear to be).

Today M Flight took a trip to G-Power in Germany. There was about 30 M cars, mostly E9x M3, one M5, few E46 M3, and one E36 M3. We went to the heart of G-Power, their HQ and shop. You would think they have some big facility, but when we got there it was in some small village and looked like a barn. Check it out for yourself. Owner gave all of us a ride in his experimental/research/developmental 724hp (dynod at 600 at the wheels) E92 M3. Crazy mad fast! They had the SK1 customer car, and some other to include the Huricane M5 capable of 380km/h. … CONTINUED
Which? consumer test magazine had a chance to test both the F10 535i and 530d. While calling the 530d massively competent and refined, the testers still preferred the 535i, which encouraged a more enthusiastic driving experience. Either way, they felt the F10 stacks up impressively well on performance and refinement against current rivals, including the Mercedes E- class and aging Audi A6.

Remember these spyshots? Looks like the photos were of a FWD hydrogen hybrid 1-series test car afterall, according to autoblog.nl. The 1-series hydrogen hybrid concept is powered by a 120hp 4 cylinder gas engine, hydrogen fuel, cell, electric motor, FWD and RWD!. The car operates on FWD on longer trips and RWD on shorter trips (RWD powered by electric motor). The fuel cell converts hydrogen and oxygen into electricity, which recharges the batteries. The energy generated from braking will also be converted to electricity and stored for use.

Nürburgring, 27th March 2010. In the first round of the 2010 VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife Team BMW Motorsport crossed the line after fours hours of racing in third. Augusto Farfus (BR), Uwe Alzen (DE) and Pedro Lamy (PT) put in a faultless performance at the wheel of the no. 742 BMW M3 GT2 and were rewarded with the first podium of the season. Their team-mates, Dirk Werner (DE), Dirk Müller (DE) and Dirk Adorf (DE), however, were forced to retire with the BMW M3 GT2 (no. 743) after two laps. The reason for this was a technical defect with the power steering which couldn’t be repaired.

Ahead of its expected debut in just a few short months, the 2011 X3 test mules appear to have increased their testing on public roads. All the better for us as we now have even more photos of the soon to be slightly upmarketed X3. This particular one comes in a reddish tone.
