Roadside, the group handling BMW roadside assistance, will be making their roadside assistance smartphone app available on April 8, 2010. Once the user is registered, the VIN, GPS Coordinates and type of service requested is electronically transmitted to a roadside call center. This has the potential to reduce the call time by 60% leading to quicker dispatching and an overall better experience.

To celebrate the election fever currently under way in the UK, BMW has decided to allow customers to show their true political colors by color coding their BMW’s roundel. The Political Roundel Attachment Tag comes in 3 prime colours – red for Labour, blue for Conservative, yellow for Liberal Democrats. This allows alignment with the major UK political parties.
Well, as some of you may remember, Mr. Clarkson made a point of showing how poorly the BMW SAVs performed off road. BMW shot back quickly with their snow driving youtube videos, but now Clarkson’s own magazine, Top Gear now seems to approve of the off road capabilities of the X6.
