The Need for Speed Schubert Racing BMW Z4 GT3 is taking part in the FIA GT3 European Championship and recently spent time at the beautiful Dijon-Prenois circuit in France to enable the FIA to establish the balance of performance for each of the ten makes of car taking part in the twelve race series.

The BMW 1-series has achieved 1 million units produced after five years of production. The 1 millionth 1-series produced was delivered to its proud owner today at the Leipzig Motor Show, the Auto Mobil International (AMI). The car, a three-door BMW 118d built at BMW Plant Leipzig, was handed over jointly by Frank-Peter Arndt, Member of the Board of BMW AG for Production, and Stanislaw Tillich, the Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, to a customer from Leipzig.
BMW maintained its place as the world’s #1 premium brand as it outsold #2 Audi by 1,709 units globally in the first quarter of 2010. In the first quarter, BMW Group reported sales of 315,614 cars, a 13.8 percent increase compared with the same period last year.

Le Castellet, 11th April 2010. In the first round of the 2010 Le Mans Series, BMW Team Schnitzer finished sixth in the LM GT2 class with the no. 78 BMW M3 GT2. At the “Circuit Paul Ricard” in Le Castellet (FR) the BMW works drivers, Jörg Müller (DE) and Dirk Werner (DE), completed a total of 225 laps over the course of the eight-hour race. Marc Lieb (DE) and Richard Lietz (AT) claimed victory at the wheel of a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR.
