The TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative by the Verband Deutscher Automobil Tuner e.V. (VDAT)
impressively shows the future of tuning with its sixth campaign vehicle - an electric MINI in Police
Look. Every year since 2004, a special concept car has been presented which meets both the
high demands of tuning fans and maximum safety standards.
The campaign, supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development,
shows that the yearning for individualisation can continue to be met in the future.

According to reports from AdAge, BMW is set to return to Super Bowl XLV after a 10 year advertising hiatus from the most watched event in the US calendar.

BMWs last commercial was 10 years ago back in 2000. The ads were two 30-second spots for the then new BMW X5, estimated to cost $2.1M for those 30 seconds, or $70,000 per … CONTINUED

“November is normally a tough month but we increased our sales momentum thanks to strong demand for our all-wheel-drive vehicles, the X5 and X6 in particular, and now that it’s available, the 5 Series with AWD,” said Jim O’Donnell, President and CEO of BMW of North America, LLC. “The overall market shows signs of improvement with consumer confidence increasing slightly but our dealers know they have to work for every sale and that work is paying off.”

The BMW Group is celebrating its independence and the company’s continued success since its restructuring plan was accepted on 30 November, 1960 with a special ceremony at the Theresienhöhe in Munich on 30 November 2010. “Herbert Quandt’s business instinct and his ability to make courageous decisions at that time set a new course for our company and secured BMW’s ability to control its own future,” said Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG, Prof. Dr. Ing. Joachim Milberg, before the ceremony in Munich.

After rejecting Daimler-Benz’s takeover bid for BMW in 1959 and adopting the rescue plan in November 1960, BMW went on to become an almost unprecedented success story. Since 2004, the BMW Group has been the world’s leading supplier of premium automobiles. Its workforce … CONTINUED
