MOTORINGFILE/BIMMERFILE is breaking the news tonight. MINI has released images/details on their newest concept car dubbed the Paceman. This car is exactly what it looks like, a two door countryman. Think of it this way, the Paceman is to the Countryman as the BMW X6 is to the X5.

The paceman is more sporty compared to its countryman counterpart not only by the loss of two doors, but the car has a 20mm lower roofline and runs on 19″ wheels.

According to Motoringfile, there are as yet no plans for production, and it sounds like production plans would be based on the reaction to this concept.

Here’s an older but great review by well respected auto journalist Chris Harris track testing the X6 against some considerably more expensive (and powerful) competitors - the Cayenne Turbo, ML63 AMG, and Q7 V12. The SUV/SAVs are driven around a small and fairly technical track where the X6 turns in an impressive performance. Video and results inside.

While we’re all still drooling over the unveiling of the 1-Series M Coupe, some might wonder how it will fare against what will possibly be its biggest rival - the Audi RS3. We can already hear some moaning ‘coupe vs hatchback, RWD vs AWD and manual vs double clutch’ to stress both cars aren’t even rivals, but look at the specs to see that both a pretty close in power, size and price. Enough said, here it is, all pictures and information you need to make up your mind about this ‘fight’

The next generation F30 3-series sedan is currently undergoing winter testing in northern Sweden. It wears the same heavy camouflage as the previous sightings, so these photos are best for determining proportions, size, and stance. Thus far, the F30 test mules spied have all had great proportions and stance. The F30 will be slightly larger and have a longer wheelbase than the current E90 sedan but features shorter overhangs to maintain sporty and squat proportions. Consistent with current BMW design language, the F30 will have wider and lower kidney grilles and the front fascia will be more upright than the E90 design.

Engine options will include a full range of turbo and naturally aspirated 6-cylinder motors, 4-cylinder motors, and possibly even a new 3-cylinder motor. The F30 … CONTINUED
