Here is an even better look at the F13 6-series coupe M-sport package. The shape and styling of the front bumper can be clearly made out on this black 650i coupe. The sideskirts can be completely seen, owing to the black tape on black paint, and it’s easy to use some imagination on gauging what the rear bumper will resemble.

Wald International has announced its F10 5-series package, dubbed the F10 Black Bison Edition. As is apparent in the photos, the package gets a cosmetic aero kit which includes a replacement front bumper with aggressive lines and air inlets, and LED DRL, and modified sideskirts. The stock bumper has been replaced by an aggressively styled full replacement rear bumper which surrounds the Porsche-style quad tip exhaust, as well as adding another lower brake light. Bespoke wheels, a unique trunk spoiler and roof spoiler finish off the exterior kit components.

No word yet on any performance or interior upgrades in this package, but past Wald Black Bison edition cars have included such components.

We’ve caught the new upcoming 2012 1-Series hatch every which way imaginable, but now the car has finished its winter testing and entered Nurburgring testing. This is a critical point on the path for any BMW towards production. In fact, the new 5-door hatch is rumored to be revealed online this spring, 2011, with its first public showing at the Frankfurt autoshow this fall, so I’m sure things are in high gear with the 1-Series development team.

This particular vehicle is the 5-door hatchback variant, which is the basis model of the 1-Series, and just as in the previous generation vehicle, this model will not make its way onto US shores. However, this car will serve as the basis for the entire 1-series lineup, with a 3-door … CONTINUED

We bring you the first clear look at the 2012 6-series M-sport kit on an F13 coupe. Although covered in camouflage tape, it’s easy to make out the shape and style of the various 6-series M sport parts - the front bumper, sideskirts, and rear bumper. In our opinion, the beefy new front bumper which adds to the 6-series’ thin and angular front fascia gives BMW’s top end coupe a much more aggressive character.

The front bumper draws some lines from the F10 5-series M-sport (notably the middle portions), but the bottom/side parts of the side air inlets appear to taper in rather than go straight down as in the F10’s. Also, the front splitter fins don’t appear to come to an angle as on the … CONTINUED

BMW is currently among the top 3 automakers closest to making their European Union mandated CO2 targets. They are currently #3 and follow Toyota and PSA/Peugeot-Citron. BMW needs to cut its overall fleet emissions by only 7.1 percent in order to meet the more onerous emissions regulations which begin next year. Toyota needs to reduce by only 4.2 percent, and PSA by 5.1 percent.

BMW has been able to be far ahead of the curve on meeting the targets through a combination of offering increased diesel efficiency and models, activehybrid models, smaller motors with forced induction (turbo), and soon to join the fleet - pure electric vehicles.

The increased emissions standards call for reducing CO2 emissions from new cars sold in Europe to a fleet average of 130g/km … CONTINUED

The Chinese have previously seen a special edition M3 exclusive to their market - in the form of the M3 Tiger Edition. Apparently demand was good enough to warrant yet another special edition - the M3 Matte Edition

Like most of the other special M3 edition models, this one is cosmetics only - concentrating on the exterior color finish. The exterior will be offered in gunmetal gray or black, each in a metallic matte finish (achieved by combining a metallic finish with a matte clear coat). The other unique cosmetic styling bits include black chrome side M gills and exhaust pipes, and red brake calipers. A BMW Performance shift knob is also included.

Interior styling includes carbon fiber trim with matching black carbon fiber leather seats with contrasting … CONTINUED

Spied here is the 2012 M6 coupe with less camouflage than previously seen. Although much of the front fascia remains covered in camouflage tape, it will resemble the recently revealed 6-series Coupe (official info and photos), but with an M styled bumper of course. The front brakes feature huge calipers with cross drilled rotors front and rear. Traditional quad exhausts are seen at the rear, surrounded by a still-camouflaged rear bumper which will also sport M-styling. The wheels appear to be for testing only as their offsets are clearly too high for the M6’s fenders.

The 2012 M6 will share the same motor and drivetrain as the upcoming M5 - a tuned version of the turbocharged 8 cylinder motor from the X5 and X6 M (the BMW … CONTINUED

The BMW 3 Series established the compact sports sedan segment and laid the foundation stone for the world’s most successful premium model series.

If there is such a thing as a typical BMW, then it is without a doubt the BMW 3 Series. In the medium-size class it is considered the embodiment of the sports sedan and has maintained this leading role for many years unchallenged at the top of the premium segment. Since debuting in the year 1975, more than 12 million customers worldwide have purchased a BMW 3 Series, even though the car cannot be associated with any typical customer segment. So the reasons for this remarkable success are manifold.

Then as now, the BMW 3 Series concept was unique – a compact and elegant body … CONTINUED
