M3POST member and Dutch race car driver Junior Strous drives a BMW E92 M3 coupe on the Zandvoort race track in The Netherlands. Here is the on board footage of the M3 being driven to the absolute limit with a best laptime of 2.02.943 with a passenger on board.

Info on the next generation M3 lineup comes courtesy of insider SCOTT26. Expected in the M3 lineup will again be the M3 coupe and cabrio, but the M3 sedan will supposedly be replaced by the M3 Gran coupe (a 4 door version of the F32 M3 coupe). Also for the first time there will be an M3 touring wagon. Finally, the X3M and an X4M (based on a future X4 SAV model) are speculated. Full details inside.

Someone (Insideline) has finally dyno’d the BMW 1M coupe and the results are even more impressive than most had predicted - 331rwhp/362rwtq !! Check inside for the dyno video and some incredulous (in a good way) reactions.

Damon Lavrinc at Autoblog brings news about full customizable LCD gauge displays coming to the “refreshed” 5-series and 7-series, which we take to mean the facelift / LCI versions of the current models - supposedly within 2 years time.

It appears that BMW’s two largest sedans will transition from black panel displays to full digital LCD displays where the tachometer, speedometer, fuel meter, and temperature gauge will all take a digital form. The display may also be customized to display navigation and infotainment info and take on different looks appropriate for the car being in sport or comfort mode.

We’ll lament the extinction of the physical needle and gauges in the F10 and F01, but we suspected that it was only a matter of time before full LCD … CONTINUED

The recently unveiled G-Power M3 GTS shows off a bit in these videos from its testing runs at Hockenheim. This super-GTS would go on to set a laptime at the Hockenheim track of 1.11,8 min. The G-Power M3 GTS features:

635 hp / 467 kW @ 7,800 r/min (+ 185 hp / 136 kW)
630 Nm 3,900 r/min (+ 190 Nm)

We bring you the latest spyshots of the BMW E90 M3 Lightweight model allegedly called M3 EVO. BMW is performing last tests on the Nürburgring prior to the offical unveiling at the M Night on June 23rd. BMW allowed us an early glimpse at the car back in April. The M3 EVO is said to be slotted between a regular E9x M3 and the extreme M3 GTS. Powered by the already famous S65 V8 engine, we expect an output in the neighborhood of 440hp. BMW will use the M3 EVO to showcase the increasing use of lightweight materials and parts, such as lightweight seats and brake discs, among other things.
