The BMW X6 LCI (facelift) is coming next Spring and we bring you photos which preview the coming changes. Consistent with BMW’s recipe for subtle facelifts, the X6’s mid-life refresh will bring revised and more aggressive front bumpers without fog lights. Following path of the new 6-series, full LED headlights will be available as an option and are shown in these spyshots. You can also see the LED daytime running lights.

The X6 LCI models will also sport new kidney grilles which will take on a more three-dimensional look - owing to the kink in the lower half of the kidney slats. The X6 rear will receive revised rear-light graphics sporting BMW’s latest LED design. We’d also expect some subtle changes in the interior.

Technically, we expect … CONTINUED

AC Schnitzer will be debuting their latest models at next week’s Frankfurt IAA, and one of them will be their 6 series convertible.

It’s based on the 650i, but the power has been tuned up significantly to 540hp (from standard 407hp). These gains come from an ECU tune and a new exhaust system.

Cosmetic enhancements include a new front spoiler lip, radiator grille, and rear apron.

Brakes have been upgraded with new 8 piston calipers in front. The car has been lowered with Schnitzer springs and sit on 21″ Schnitzer wheels.

We will bring you more info and coverage next week from the Frankfurt IAA.

Here’s one of the first reviews of the BMW 335i Performance Edition Retrofit Kit, which is a factory tune which retains the factory warranty. Horsepower increase from 300 to 320, torque increase from 300 to 317ft-lbs for a manual transmission, and to 332 for automatic transmission. This all results in 0.2 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 100 km/h and 0.5 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 120km/h. The Performance Edition Kit can also be retrofitted on the 135i.

Frozen Matte Gray and Frozen Matte Black paint options were made available to European customers beginning this past March for the F10 5 series, which represents the first time that BMW has offered the matte paint option for non-M cars. It is an option only for F10/F11 M-sport packaged cars. As these photos show, the matte finish looks great on the F10, but it doesn’t come cheap. The matte gray and matte black options cost over 3,000 euros.

Well, this looks like fun. We’ve reported about the six lucky guys who were invited to the F10 M5 Fly and Drive event earlier this month (one of them was 5POST member benz61). M-Power.com has just published a new video starring the new M5, Claudia Huertgen, a German race car driver, and some happy passengers. This video includes some nice drifts and thus obviously doesn’t reflect the fastest possible time for the car.

Enjoy the new M5 during a fun lap on the Nurburgring. Also remember that the new M5 will be available as regular Ring Taxi from 2012 on.

Despite the myriad of F30 3 series sedan test mule spy photos we’ve posted thus far, there has yet to be a direct F30 versus E90 3 series spotting, until now. Although it’s only one view for now, it gives us the best idea yet of how the new 2012 3 series F30 sedan will compare to the outgoing E90 3 series with respect to size, proportions, rear styling, and stance. Thanks to F30post member CSL-Fanatik.

Based on shape, the F30 appears more evolutionary than revolutionary a design, unlike the current F10 5 series which threw the E60 design language out the window in favor of a wholly new design.

The F30 and E90 seem similar, which should assuage the fears of 3 series fans who cringe at … CONTINUED

This past weekend saw the first US 1M coupe meet take place when a few Bay Area 1ADDICTS and M3POST members met up for a drive. Three 1Ms and two M3s were in attendance, making for an intimate group. They cruised while M3post member RadiantM3 snapped photos. We can expect to soon see larger and larger 1M meets as more US customers finally take delivery.
