On display at the 2012 Qatar Motor Show is the very first BMW F10 M5 in Melbourne Red. Melbourne Red isn’t offered as a standard color on the F10 M5 so this is a BMW Individual product.

It’s being shown with matt aluminum window which is part of the “Individual exterior line” no-cost option for the M5 F10.

BMW UK has scooped six awards from one of the country’s leading fleet publications. BusinessCar magazine has honoured BMW with the headline accolade of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’, for the fourth year in a row, in recognition of BMW’s diverse product portfolio and class-leading running costs.

Scott has been racing in BMW Club Racing since the 2004 season, winning numerous regional and national championships and setting over a dozen class track records. After the success of their E46 M3 and 135i race cars, he’s decided to take on an even bigger project in taking a salvaged E90 M3 with frame and rear subframe damage and bringing it all the way to race form.

They’ve already started gutting this 2008 e90 M3 with manual transmission and only 11K miles on the drivetrain. Follow along inside.

Although we’ve been expecting this news, here is finally official confirmation that the 2013 BMW X3 28i will change to the new 2.0L inline 4 cylinder N20 engine. This switchover will occur as of April 2012 production (for the MY2013 X3).

Some new options will also be offered on the 2013 X3 - namely the lane departure warning and speed limit info features.

The worldwide F30 market launch comes in just under 3 weeks from now - on February 11. We’ve put together our Official Color Photo Threads for the F30 3 series in time for the market launch so it can hopefully help aid you in deciding on your F30 color when/if the time comes to order.

We’ve got the standard colors so far: Alpine White, Black Sapphire Metallic, Estoril Blue II, Glacier Silver, Havana, Imperial Blue, Liquid Blue, Melbourne Red, and Mineral Grey/Gray.

BMW insider Scott26 is reporting that BMW is currently working on some special packages/editions for the E92 M3 coupe before it bows out in 2013. In the works is a lightweight (CRT type) package for the E92 M3 coupe which will feature some of the key details of the M3 CRT sedan such as the carbon fiber hood and special seats. It’s not known whether such a package/model will be homologated for the US market.

BMW is however considering some sort of updated Competition Package for the US.

We’ve now spied the 2014 BMW X5 (F15) on video in the first live motion look at the next X5, due at the end of 2013 as a 2014 model. This prototype is spotted in Northern Sweden undergoing cold temperature / winter weather testing. It can be seen purposely inducing slides and drifts, perhaps to test and develop the traction control and xDrive system.

Preliminary info indicates that the hood sits flush with the larger/wider grilles. The headlights are supposed to be trapezoidal shaped and will connect to the headlights, like the F30 3 series. The F15 will also adopt many of the new X model design cues from the X3 and X1.

The F15 X5 is expected to weigh less than the current E70 X5 … CONTINUED
