The F10 M5 will not hit US shores until August/September, but that hasn’t stopped US members from imagining how they will configure their future M5s. Some even already have project M5 plans, such as this M5POST member who plans a Java Green M5 project car, inspired by the BMW Individual Java Green M3s we’ve seen come out of Europe and the BMW M dealership in Munich.

Check out a preview of the project Java Green M5 and some plans inside.

At the Malaysian launch of the new F30 3 Series, BMW showcased a 328i partially adorned in some M Performance Parts.

As we can see, not all F30 M Performance Parts are featured here, with the exterior aero kit parts missing (M Sport bumpers, carbon fiber front splitters, carbon fiber mirrors, sideskirts, trunk spoiler, and rear diffuser).

Featured however are the the M Performance gloss black grilles, M Performance racing stripes, 20″ Style 405M M Performance wheels, M Performance brakes in orange (4 piston front, 2 piston rear, and which also come in yellow and red) with 370mm brake discs.

The interior features the full array of M Performance Parts for the F30, with ‘rough’ carbon fiber finish trim on the center console, door handles, and wrapped shift knob, … CONTINUED

We take you on a tour of the Classic Coupes exhibit at the BMW Museum.

The BMW Museum has changed up a few of their exhibits. Down at the base of the classic “ball” are three super cars: 1M, 1M Homage and the 1M Concept. All three in red! It is quite a sight to behold.

And upstairs where the “Art Cars” were shown up in the classic “ball” is now a special showing of “classic coupes”. There is a little bit of BMW’s grand past and present on display here. Take a look for yourself as I guide you thru the Museum….

Here is a brief but telling clip of the F10 M5’s sounds versus that of the E92 M3. Both are powered by a V8, but the M5 features a 4.4L bi-turbo V8 pumping out 560hp while the M3 is powered by a 4.0L naturally aspirated 414hp V8. Video by, courtesy of, and thanks to ednet01.

While we’ve seen many of our worldwide members taking deliveries of their 2012 F10 M5, none have yet been delivered to North America. Canada should see the first deliveries in just weeks and while the US won’t see the new M5 until the 2013 model year production begins in July (for Sept delivery), US pricing will be announced next week!

We’ve now added a spy video of the M135i seen in live action for the first time, as well as an F21 135i 3-door hatchback.

Powered by a 320hp version of the N55 3.0-litre inline 6, the M135i will be the fastest 1-series currently available. As BMW puts it, “moreover, the characteristic handling precision of BMW M Performance automobiles is obtained through model-specific suspension technology that includes an M sports braking system and is perfectly adapted to match the supreme road performance. 18-inch M light alloys with a double spoke design additionally complement the car’s sporting character.”

So we expect the M135i’s performance to come quite close to the already-legendary 1-series M Coupe.

After a few months of cold weather testing in the frozen climate of Sweden, the 2014 M3 F80 sedan has returned to further honing where it most belongs and excels - on the Nurburgring track. As we approach the warmer months we should begin to see it undergo hot weather testing where it will hopefully shed some more camouflage for the sake of adequate cooling.

In this sighting, we get some good close looks at the F80 M3 kidney grilles which we’ve pointed out before as being sleeker/sportier than that on the F30 3 Series. The production side view mirrors (which also be sportier in shape) have not yet been installed on any prototypes.
