Turner Motorsports has fitted the F30 H&R Springs onto their new F30, giving us the first real life look of the F30 stance after fitting H&R lowering springs.
The H&R lowering springs come in two varieties — Sport Spring and Super Sport Spring, with the latter being a more aggressive lowering.
The H&R Sport Springs (Part #28878-2) lower the F30 by 1.2″ front and 1.2″ rear.
The H&R Super Sport Springs (Part #28877-2) lower the F30 by 1.75″ front and 1.6″ rear.
Here’s the world’s first F10-to-M5 front end conversion. It’s not an easy undertaking as the M5 is 2 inches wider than the F10 5 series, requiring wider front fenders.
The base car is a F10 528i and the entire project took 18 OEM F10 M5 parts and some wheel spacers.
Check out the impressive result inside.
An entourage of F10 5 Series owners from 5POST gathered this past weekend for the LTBMW meet. Over 15 5 series were in attendance, with the group having lunch together and then caravaning to the meet together. Check out the photos inside.
We’ve posted plenty of spy photos and videos of the next generation M3 sedan (F80) but this is the first high speed chase video we’ve seen, and the chase car is no slouch. Watch as a tuned BMW 1M coupe (with 420hp) pushes a F80 M3 prototype to 240+km/h on the Autobahn.
The F80 M3 is due to debut in the second half of 2013, likely for market release in Europe at the end of 2013 and in the US early 2014.
The Nurburgring testing season has just opened and the first BMW prototype model that we’ve spied is the upcoming M6 Gran Coupe, due to become the upcoming flagship M model upon its release next year.
The M6 and 6 Series Gran Coupe represents BMW’s first foray into the luxury “coupe” sedan niche and just as the standard 6 series Gran Coupe will compete with the Mercedes CLS lineup, the top of the line M6 variant will take on the Mercedes CLS63 AMG directly. If these photos of the M6 GC being pushed extremely hard on the Ring are any indication, the CLS63 AMG will soon have a fast and great handling nemesis to contend with.
The remaining camouflaged portions of the M6 GC do not conceal much as … CONTINUED
The 6 Series Gran Coupe made its North American debut at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, showing up in 640i and Frozen Bronze form. Next stop for the Gran Coupe will be the 2012 NY International Auto Show in early April.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe hits the US market in early Summer as a 640i model, with the 650i Gran Coupe and 650i xDrive Gran Coupe (which is the model being displayed at Geneva) following later in the Summer.
Pricing has been announced for the 640i Gran Coupe starting at $76,895
Autobild pits the new M5 (F10) against the main competitors in the medium-large sports sedan segment - the CTS-V, E36 AMG with Performance Pack, and the Jaguar XFR. See inside for the comparison and track results from and between these impressive cars.
German tuner Hartge has released its tuning program and cosmetic upgrades for the 1 series M coupe.
For more power, the Hartge ECU tune for the 1M’s N54 engine paired with its sports exhaust system pushes the 1M’s power from the factory 335hp/332lb-ft to 396hp and 391lb-ft torque.
The resulting real-world performance increase? According to Hartge, their 1M goes from 0-200kmh (124mph) in 11.34 seconds (a 2.18 second increase over the factory 1M’s 13.52 seconds). On top of that, there’s an increase in efficiency of 0.5L/km less consumption than the factory 1M.
Cosmetic aero parts include a trunk spoiler and roof spoiler.
