Two 335i F30 race cars (the first we know of in the world) will debut in South Africa on March 31, 2012. These cars are built and raced by ADF Motorsport based at the Kyalami Race track. They will race in the Bridgestone Production Cars race in the WesBank Super series and be broadcast on Supersport in South Africa.

The famous E60 M5 Ring Taxi was retired at the end of the 2010 season, with the E90 M3 Ring Taxi taking over duties for 2011. With the introduction of the all new M5 (F10) however, it looks the mighty M5 will again resume its Ring Taxi duties for the upcoming year/season.

Seen here for the first time is the F10 M5 Ring Taxi hitting the ring wearing its Ring Taxi uniform - in white with M stripes and Ring Taxi decals. It underwent many laps of hard testing runs on one of the first days of the 2012 Nurburgring testing season and it appears ready to begin taking passengers when the ride season begins.

BMW launched and announced its initial M Performance Parts lineup officially at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow. While the now released M Performance Parts official catalog explains much, we took some time to find out some more details for you. Stefan Weiss of the M Performance Parts team was helpful in giving us some further insight.

Please give us a quick overview on the M Performance Parts. What’s the motive for ‘renaming’ the Performance Parts program to M Performance Parts?
M Performance Parts are now available for the new 1 series, 3 series, and 5 series. We had the opportunity to sit down with the gracious Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, current BMW M GmbH President, at the 2012 Geneva Motorshow last week. We were primarily interested in discussing future M models and developments and here’s what we are able to report.

Is it safe to assume that will there will be a successor to the popular 1M coupe?
We sold more than 5000 units worldwide and we are thinking for a successor, but we haven’t made a decision yet.

The all new 2012 BMW M5 (F10) Top Gear episode has just aired. We won’t play spoiler, but BMW and M5 fans will be pleased. It’s reviewed by Richard Hammond and pitted against the predecessor E60 M5 as well. Check out the video and review inside.

The 2012 BMW M5 F10 finally gets its time on Top Gear tomorrow, March 11 on BBC UK. Richard Hammond will be the reviewer and in an attempt to prove it is better than a jet plane, pits May in a jet plane to beat him in a lap of the track.
