An M3POST member shares with us his european delivery journal, recounting the experience of picking up his stripped down basic configuration E93 M3 coupe in Individual Fire Orange exterior.

German tuner Tuningwerk transforms the already potent 1M Coupe into a 514hp monster, which they’ve dubbed the Tuningwerk 1M RS.

What they’ve done with the factory 335hp / 332lb-ft N54 engine is given it a ECU tune, modified its turbos, customized cooling system with additional secondary cooler, and replaced factory exhaust with custom titanium exhaust system. This all works to produce 514hp (521PS) and 453 lb-ft torque (614Nm) (from 2800 RPM). Top speed is 186mph.

Its transmission now has a 3.25 ratio (with 3.45 ratio available) and the 1M RS also features a locking differential with a Drexler lock, as well as a new clutch (with a racing clutch offered as an option).

Matt Russell, BMW M Brand Manager, and a BMW Body & Paint Specialist explains the paint guidelines behind BMW’s “frozen” matte paint finishes. The care required is actually much less than most expect.

Only regular shampoo and insect remover (BMW recommends theirs of course) is needed. No other chemicals (sealants, waxes, polishes, etc.) are needed.

* They warn that you can even damage the frozen matte paint by using a microfiber cloth, wax, sealant, or quick detailer.

Have a look at a Frozen Silver F10 M5 fitted with BMW M Performance Parts, in black and carbon fiber. The parts provide a nice contrast against the beautiful matte silver exterior and gives the M5 an even sportier character by de-chroming.

The carbon fiber trunk spoiler (which the owner replaced the factory spoiler lip with), the sideskirts (which replaces the flared factory M5 sideskirts) and kidney grilles are all from the new M Performance Parts lineup. This M5 has also been fitted with gloss black gill trim and the exhaust tips have been blacked out.

The BMW 335i (F30) sedan is put to the test against the more powerful (and more expensive) Audi S4. Can the 335i keep up? While the 335i was down on acceleration compared to the S4, the author still picked the 335i over the S4. Why? Here’s some of the notable things said about each car and how they compared:

We’ve spied an advanced 7 Series LCI facelift prototype and it’s looking like the reveal is coming in the very near future.

The refreshed 7 Series’ biggest change will be to the front fascia. Full LED headlights will come to the 7 series for the first time, with the turn signal lights now integrated into the eyebrow. We can now also make out a more aggressive lower bumper, with more pronounced and longer splitter fins on the lower lip, in an overall look similar to the BMW Concept 7 Active Hybrid from 2008.

The Kidney grilles receive a thicker and more pronounced grille surround and the side mirrors now incorporate side indicator lights.

Site member hkyplaynazn was recently in Germany for european delivery and as part of the experience was given a tour of the BMW M Studio at M Headquarters in Garching, Germany. Garching is always a treat for BMW enthusiasts as there is not only the cool M cars and Individual displays within the M Studio, but also prototype/testing cars parked on the premise or driving around the neighborhood.

On this particular visit, hkyplaynazn was able to get a first look at an M6 convertible in Singapore Grey inside M Studio, as well as a beautiful Monte Carlo Blue M6 coupe test car parked on the facilities.
