For the press launch of the 2013 M6 coupe, M5 sedan, 7 series LCI, and Alpina B7, BMW also brought out some M and Motorsports hardware from years past (and current) to commemorate BMW M GmbH’s 40th birthday this year.
On hand was a streetable M1 (actually running), E92 M3 GT2 car, BMW GTP, BMW M1 racer, and of course the BMW 3.0CSL which you can say kicked off BMW M. Bonus gallery of another M1 from another recent product preview event.
We are in attendance at the 2013 BMW M6 Coupe (F13) press launch and press drives at the Laguna Seca Raceway. We’ll post our feedback on the M6 soon, but for now, have a look at some of the beautiful M6 coupes that were made available at the event.

Munich/San Francisco. The BMW Group has extended its premium car sharing program DriveNow to the US. DriveNow launched in San Francisco in June with 70 electric vehicles. The innovative mobile parking solution, ParkNow, will debut in the Californian city in September.

Cautionary video showing an E46 M3 crash in Phoenix, Arizona. The 19 year old driver was out in his M3 at South Mountain Park in Phoenix when during a spirited drive he misjudged a corner and went off the road, totaling his M3.
Sunday, August 19th was the BMW Car Club of BC’s Concours, held at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver. Overcast sky made for an unspectacular backdrop but the neutral lighting also granted the ability to take pictures from almost any angles.
