Unfortunately the BMW thefts in the UK continue. Using the security flaw on the OBD Port which allows key cloning on the spot, a group of thieves managed to steal away an M3POST member’s E92 M3 coupe.
BMW UK has started flashing cars with a software update to prevent theft using this method. A link to the details can be found inside.

For the past week, the BMW Performance Center offered a BMW Performance Driving School event at the legendary Lime Rock Park, featuring the all new F10 M5, the E92 M3 coupe and the 1M coupe.

UPDATE 10/17: Better spy photos of the F10 LCI prototype now show a new squared off angel eyes (coronal lights) shape, which has started to appear on BMWs beginning with the latest 3 Series, 6 Series, and 7 Series. Also, the new front bumper will feature BMW’s air curtain vents.
The first F10 5 Series Sedan and F07 5 Series GT LCI (facelift) update prototypes have now been spotted. This will facelift the entire 5 Series lineup, including the F10 sedan, F11 touring, F07 GT, and the F10 M5.
We have information which shows production for the F10 LCI as beginning in July 2013, with deliveries starting in August/September of 2013.

The Rimac e-M3 has now been acknowledged as the fastest accelerating electrical vehicle (EV). Its record breaking run, which happened in April 2011, has now been confirmed and acknowledged by the FIA. The electric E30 M3 covered the first eighth of a mile in 7.549 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.808 seconds).
A full mile was completed in 35.347, which is still pending the FIA nod. The driver (and owner of the Rimac tuning company) Mate Rimac is already working on something even faster - the new pre-production Concept_One.
Apple recently introduced the new iPhone 5. There are three key differences between it and earlier iPhone models that affect its integration in BMW vehicles. First, the physical dimensions of the body of the new phone are thinner and longer compared to the iPhone 4/4S. Second, the iPhone uses a new 8-pin connector in place of the traditional 30-pin connector used on all other iPhone variants as well as iPod touch and iPod nano. The third is the elimination of the analog video signal.
