Alpina has released the first details of its 2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo, which will join the B3 Bi-Turbo as the newest F3x based Alpina offering. The D3 is set to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt IAA show beginning next week.
For the 2014 D3, Alpina utilizes the same powerplant which powers the XD3 and D5 – an inline six-cylinder twin turbo motor. It outpouts 345 HP (257kw) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) torque. 0-62mph (100kmh) can be covered by the D3 in 4.6 seconds, … CONTINUED

BMW has announced that due to an engine update (to the N55 motor) starting with July 1 production, the BMW M Performance Power Kit PPK will be unavailable for ordering. A new Power Kit will be available for the updated N55 engine come late 2013.
