What a weekend! First spyshots of the new M3, then had the first leak of the Performance Concept 1-series and now this:
An eagle eyed tipster managed to take the first (albeit blurry) shots of the new BMW 3-series sedan (F30). From what can be seen in those photos it will be a very handsome and evolutionary design. The front appears sporty yet elegant and — to the relief of many — the headlights are sleeker and smaller compared to the F20 1-series. The rear clearly shows … CONTINUED
A hypnotic and spellbinding HD film with some great production added by E90post member !bmw! consisting of driving and delivery footage of his 2011 328i sedan during european delivery. This one’s a must see.
It’s been over a year since our last F31 touring sighting (last video and pics), but this time the F31 has been spotted showing some of its body for the first time. Some of the camouflage tape has been dropped to give us a better look of its shape and styling.
Overall the F31 touring will grow in size from its E91 predecessor, which will give it some added practicality, one of the main advantages the touring has over its sedan and coupe siblings.
Will the F31 wagon … CONTINUED
As the E90 3-series’ production comes to an end this October, attention has already been shifting to the next generation F30 3-series sedan. Here, BMW continues testing of the next generation 3-series (F30) sedan. It seems that the amount of camouflage has remained at this level for a while now, but new colors continue to appear on the FEP prototypes.
The F30 3 series spied here looks to be in Deep Sea Blue Metallic or the new Midnight Blue color introduced on the F20 1-series hatchback. This … CONTINUED
This may not be the very first 3-series to M3 conversion we’ve had on BIMMERPOST, but M3 conversions are always unique and interesting to see. This particular build features a beautiful custom Ferrari Girigio Silverstone paint and several other custom touches. It was recently featured in BMW Performance Magazine, so check out the build details and photos inside.
The 2011 Big Socal Euro event was held this past Saturday and several cars by LTBMW were in attendance. Check out some professional photos by jzhang and some live event photos from jg525i.
Beautiful and mint conditioned BMWs new and old were on display at the PNW 2011 BMW Concours d’Elegance over the weekend in Washington state. Run by BMWCCA Pugent Sound Region, this autoshow featured multiple judged classes, as well as display classes, motorcycles, new car classes, and race car displays.
This year’s feature model was the E90/E92/E92 M3.
The recently-spied-for-first-time F3x 3-series Li Long wheelbase model continues its testing. This extended length next gen 3-series will be manufactured in China for sale only in China (like all new F30s for the Chinese market) and provides for more spacious backseat area with more legroom. The BMW 3-series Li will debut at the Beijing Autoshow in April 2012.
The platform will form the basis of the BMW 3-series Gran Turismo which debuts in 2013.
The F30 3-series is shaping up to the be safest 3-series yet. From the latest set of F30 spy photos, we have now spotted side view cameras, which will likely be part of a camera package which also includes top and rear view parking cameras. From previous interior spy photos we’ve also spotted the lane change warning system. All will combine to provide safety features which have never before been seen in the 3-series!
We’ve posted plenty of F30 spy photos and videos, but this is a first — a F30 335i with blue front brake calipers. Despite their color, the brakes on this prototype don’t appear to be larger or a special design compared to other F30 335i prototypes, so it could be cosmetic only (perhaps as part of a special package). BMW does seem to have an affinity for blue brakes recently, as seen on the F10 M5. Or, these brakes could be for testing purposes only.
