The 3er GT is about 180 degrees from the 5er GT , although they will share the same bloodline , The 3er GT is a hybrid of a Touring and a Sporting shooting brake design. To understand the design of the 3er GT you have to go back to the original RFK Concept , With this design many within BMW loved the original intention unfortunately BMW had to re-interpret it’s conception to a vehicle that would become today’s 5er Gran Turismo.

If true, the modifications to an E90 body are likely for chassis testing only, but hint that the F30 3-series will have a wider (and perhaps longer) wheelbase. Expect the actual final sheet metal to be different, of course. The F30 3-series is expected in 2012.

And please, please dont make posts such as “its hideous.” If this is truly a test mule, its only undergoing chassis testing and what you see … CONTINUED

In case you didnt see the other threads, I was at the Essen Motor Show yesterday. It is mainly an aftermarket & tuner show, so there are some amazing cars that people have spent tons of time and money on. It was a bit disappointing that Audi was the only mainstream German auto maker there (no Merc, Porsche, or BMW), but there were several M3s throughout the exhibits. Anyway, this thread is dedicated to those. Inside youll find AC Schnitzer, Brembo, Brabham, Rieger, Akrapovic, & Inn.Vent (never heard of that … CONTINUED
