Sometimes when it rains it pours. We bring you even more F30 spy photos today – this time of a black/dark blue F30 335i showing off F30′s double character lines, aggressive front end with squared off angel eyes and some new wheels. Check out the photos inside.
The 2012 F30 3-series sedan has finally dropped its heavy camouflage to reveal a handsome and evolutionary design from the current E90 3-series sedan!
As expected, the F30 3-series retains its sporty and squat design, with short overhangs and wheels pushed to the corners. However, the front end adopts BMWs current design language, with a sleeker sloping front fascia with widened kidney grilles. The rear lights remain classic L-shapes and the car retains the prominent character line throughout its doors.
The F30 3-series sedan is expected to be … CONTINUED
Here are some of the clearest shots yet of the F34 3-series GT in testing, from some different perspectives than we’ve previously posted. We must say, the F34 GT looks much better in motion than at standstill.
Here are a couple new photos of the F34 3-series GT in testing runs on the streets. The 3-series GT will offer a simple hatch function rather than the twin trunk arrangement on the 5er GT. Spotted here is a 6 cylinder turbo version (335i or 335d).
We’re excited to bring you the first spy photos of the 3-series Gran Turismo (GT) which will be released with the next generation of 3-series vehicles. With a sleek trunkline and frameless windows, the 3-series GT looks to be much lower and sleeker in shape than the 5-series GT and appears to be generally sportier in nature. The 3-series GT will offer a simple hatch function rather than the twin trunk arrangement on the 5er GT. Spotted here is a 6 cylinder turbo version (335i or … CONTINUED
These are the first pictures of a early hybrid prototype for the next generation 3 series from BMW, as indicated by the “Rescue” stickers on its doors (which has been present on past hybrid BMW test vehicles).
The F30 3-series will be the first 3-series hybrid from BMW and will adopt much of the technology from the upcoming hybrid F10 5-series. The F30 hybrid will be released some time after the diesel and petrol F30 versions are released next year.
Besides serving as proof of an upcoming F30 … CONTINUED
It appears that one of the BMW Vision Efficientdynamics car’s more overt and distinguishing design features – the squared-off angel eye lights, will appear on the upcoming F30 3-series. This is the first we have seen this angel eyes design on a production BMW.
We first began seeing the squared-off angel eye lights on the VED concept car, a design concept which flowed down in less radical form to subsequent concept cars such as the Gran Coupe Concept and the 6-series Coupe Concept (all pictured below). … CONTINUED
We bring you the most revealing photos yet of the upcoming 2012 3-series (F30)! Until now, the F30 has been fully cladded with little showing other than its general lines, shape, stance, and proportions. The strip tease has now commenced with part of the headlights now visible – showing beautiful LED angel eyes. The tail lights have now also been partially unveiled, showing a wrap around design featuring upsweeping light bars, LED indicators, and regular brake lights.
The production rear bumper has now also been installed … CONTINUED
The next generation F30 3-series sedan is currently undergoing winter testing in northern Sweden. It wears the same heavy camouflage as the previous sightings, so these photos are best for determining proportions, size, and stance. Thus far, the F30 test mules spied have all had great proportions and stance. The F30 will be slightly larger and have a longer wheelbase than the current E90 sedan but features shorter overhangs to maintain sporty and squat proportions. Consistent with current BMW design language, the F30 will have wider … CONTINUED
We previously posted spy photos of the F30s interior which was a dummy interior from the 1-series, but the F30 mules have now been fitted with production form interiors. Visible now is the steering wheel, entire driver console – including tach and speedometer, as well as parts of the center console and interior door. Exterior-wise, the same camouflage remains as in previous F30 sightings.
Compared to the E90 3-series, the F30 will feature a … CONTINUED
This isn’t the first time we’ve spotted an F30 335i in testing, but it’s been quite a while. This next generation 335i prototype was recently spotted testing in public in Germany. The interior remains a dummy interior (from the 1-series) fitted for testing purposes only. We’ve yet to spot the production F30 interior.
Compared to the E90 3-series, the F30 will feature a longer wheelbase, but shorter shorter overhangs, for a sporty squat look. It will also have wider and lower kidney grilles. Engine options will include … CONTINUED
This F30 3-series test mule was spied at BMW’s M Test Center at the Ring this past weekend. No more revealing except a new set of wheels, but we again see its balanced proportions and shape. The F30 3-series is expected to debut publicly at the 2012 Geneva Autoshow in March 2012.
