Following its recent world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the new BMW 335i-based Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo is now available for order in the UK with first deliveries to start in July.
Offered in four-door saloon, Touring, Coupe and hardtop Convertible forms, the new B3 S comes with a modified 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight six upgraded to deliver a hefty 400HP at 6,000 rpm and 540Nm or 398.3 lb-ft of peak torque.
The 0-62mph (100km/h) sprint takes 4.7 seconds for both the saloon and coupe models which are also capable of achieving a top speed of 186mph or 300km/.

Grassroots Motorsports recently concluded their 335i project. The objective of their project was to take a 2008 E92 335i and attempt to make it as fast as an M3 around the track for less than half the difference in price ($15,000 at the time of the initial article). Did they succeed? Check inside.
We previously reported on jpsimon’s turbo upgrade on his 335′s N54 motor. The upgrade to larger compressor and clipped turbine wheel is now complete and the performance increases have been documented. The peak gains were an impressive 40awhp/50awtq on pump gas. Full details and dyno inside.

Unexpected debuts have been rare so far at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, but one car which we didnt expect to see was a new Alpina B3 based on the LCI (facelifted) E92 coupe. Power has been bumped up to 400hp / 397lb-ft tq and the car has been fitted with some beautiful aero parts and a stunning interior. Check out the B3 S and the other Alpinas present inside.

Vorsteiner M-tech Aero Package for the E92 and E93 has been released, including a front lip spoiler, carbon fiber rear diffuser and rear trunk spoiler. Check it out on an E93 convertible.
AC Schnitzer re-visited the nardo testing track in Italy and came away with a new world record for a diesel powered car. The new world record stands at 288.7km/h (or 179.4 mph).
AC Schnitzer says the power upgrades made to the record breaking car are actually availble for anyone to purchase as part of their upgrade packages.
Another impressive performance came out of the Z4 based ACS4 3.5turbo based on the sdrive35. Although not a world record, the top speed of 303.1 km/h is very impressive for a roadster!
