We bring you the first dyno results from a 2012 335i (F30) sedan, performed by Challenge Mfg. USA (GTM_Challenge) on their recently delivered 335i. The F30 335i is powered by the N55 6-cylinder TwinPower twinscroll turbo engine and its factory quoted power figures are 300hp / 300lb-ft.

Vishnu Performance Systems has pushed the tuning of the N54 platform to unprecedented levels with its N54 335i single turbo build, the first one successfully dyno’d.
The latest dyno has already achieved 627whp / 477 lb-ft. torque @ 22.5 PSI. The final power goal is an incredible 700whp!

On 91 octane and a dynojet, this F30 328i achieved 240hp / 257 lb-ft torque at the wheels

As you may already have seen, a member recently took delivery of his 2012 328i (F30) sedan and wasted no time in getting it strapped to the dyno. The 2012 328i sedan is powered by the twinpower twin-scroll turbo 4-cylinder inline “N20″ engine, factory rated at 240hp / 255lb-ft torque.
This F30 328i was tested on EAS (European Auto Source)’s Dynojet 224xLC and put down an impressive 226hp / 230lb-ft torque (at the wheels), with just 91 octane gasoline.

A single turbo N54 engined E90 3 Series is finally alive! HorsepowerFreaks recently fired up a forum member’s E90 335i with their HPF turbo system. Currently on the 335 is a Precision 6265. This N54 car has the HPF front mount intercooler, Evolution Racewerks BOV pipe with HKS BOV and the HPF exhaust. It is also running a Vishnu Procede and AEM gauges. Dyno results will be in soon, so stay tuned.
Alpina, the BMW tuning specialists, has released and revealed the 2012 Alpina BMW B3 GT3 E92 at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. This model will be a special production run limited to just 99 units.
The B3 GT3′s B3 S Bi-turbo motor is good for 408hp and 398 lb-ft torque. It’s paired with an Akrapovic titanium rear silencer. All this propels the B3 GT3 from 0-62mph in just 4.6 seconds.

BMW’s new 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo engine (the “N20″) may be down on cylinders and displacement compared to the inline 6 cylinder (N52) that it replaces across BMW’s model range, but even in factory form, it matches the outgoing N52′s horsepowers and features an extra 30 lb-ft of torque (in the X1 xDrive28i, X3 xDrive28i, F20 128i, 528i, Z4 sDrive28i, and upcoming F30 328i).

Here’s one of the first reviews of the BMW 335i Performance Edition Retrofit Kit, which is a factory tune which retains the factory warranty. Horsepower increase from 300 to 320, torque increase from 300 to 317ft-lbs for a manual transmission, and to 332 for automatic transmission. This all results in 0.2 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 100 km/h and 0.5 seconds faster acceleration time than the standard factory model from 80 to 120km/h. Prior Design is no newcomer when it comes to widebody M3 conversions, as they released their E92 M3 PDM Widebody Kit for the E92 coupe (photos also below) late last year. This time around they’ve taken to converting the E93 convertible to a widebody M3 look, just in time for the top-down summer months. In case you missed it, the BMW Performance Parts Manager recent revealed that the BMW Performance Power Kit will soon be coming in two stages, for both the N54 and N55 motors. Stage 1 PPK will be software upgrade only and Stage 2 PPK will be software and hardware upgrades.
