Trussardi is better known as a fashion house than custom car builder, but that hasn’t stopped them from constructing a unique 5-series GT edition.

The limited edition Trussardi 5-series GT has been announced in celebration of the designer company’s 100th anniversary. Based on the 530d xDrive GT, this special GT draws on inspiration from the concepts of leather and gloves, Trussardi’s first core business.

This limited edition GT has been repainted in Heraldic Brown, a color which invokes the look of fine leather. The Trussardi logo adorns the front fenders. The interior features special fine beige leather with contrast stitches and multiple Trussardi logos.

The Trussardi edition GT will also be available in 535d, 535i
and 550i models. Pricing for the Trussardi GT has not yet been announced.

The BMW 530d GT has been crowned Executive Car of the Year in the 2010 Professional Driver Car of the Year Awards and the 530d sedan finished second in the judging making it a one-two for BMW. Also, the BMW 7-Series has been awarded Chauffeur Car of the Year by top chauffeuring website thechauffeur.com.

Hamann has completed its work on the 5-Series GT and involves an impressive list of exterior and dynamic changes.

Their kit includes first and foremost a lowering kit for the models 530d, 535i and 550i (including air suspension).

The product range also includes a front spoiler to be mounted on the standard front spoiler of the series, side skirts and a rear spoiler in a ""subtle" or "striking" design. Both provide reduced lift force at the rear axle and thus considerably improve the driving dynamics. A new rear apron makes room for the HAMANN mufflers. The muffler system itself is composed of four stainless steel exhaust pipes measuring a massive 90 mm.
