BMW 5 Series range: even more efficient thanks to BMW TwinPower Turbo. The BMW 5 Series range builds on its leading position in the areas of design, sporting capability, comfort and efficiency with an extended range of engines. The BMW 520d EfficientDynamics Edition, for example, represents the epitome of efficiency in a premium executive class car. The Sedan is powered by a 135 kW/184 hp four-cylinder diesel engine, yet its average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is just 4.5 litres per 100 kilometres (62.8 … CONTINUED
Aside from the touring bodystyle, the B5 Touring is otherwise unchanged from the Alpina B5 Sedan. Which is to say, its a V8 Twin Turbo monster pushing out 500HP and capable of speeds upward of 300 km/h or (190MPH) and 0-60 in 4.8seconds. Not bad for a vehicle which can do double duty as family hauler and grocery getter.
This vehicle also fills a unique niche, as there is no Touring version of the new M5, this will be the most powerful Touring available with a BMW … CONTINUED
We bring you a new set of beautiful Individual cars, again from the factory-owned Munich dealer and again from Dackelone. First is a F10 550i Sedan in Sepang Bronze. While BMW decided to not offer it as standard color for the F10 M5, these photos show it still works great on the new 5-series.
Next is an F11 520d Touring in Imola Red. This might be a relief for people moaning about … CONTINUED
We’ve just spied a 5-series GT M-sport for the first time. It appears that the 5-series GT is receiving a sporty upgrade with the usual M-sport upgrades – more aggressive front bumper, sideskirts, and rear bumper. The only thing remaining covered is the front bumper. The M-sport wheels seen on the prototype are from the 7-series M-sport.
The M-sport package will surely come with the usual set of interior enhancements as well.

Damon Lavrinc at Autoblog brings news about full customizable LCD gauge displays coming to the “refreshed” 5-series and 7-series, which we take to mean the facelift / LCI versions of the current models – supposedly within 2 years time.

The display may also be customized to display navigation and infotainment info and take on … CONTINUED

BMW fans bemoaned BMW’s seeming abandonment of “The Ultimate Driving Machine” slogan (although it was never formally abandoned or done away with) in favor of the recent “JOY” campaign. But, The Ultimate Driving Machine is back! In this new BMW ad featuring an F10 5-series and a refueling plane, The Ultimate Driving Machine slogan is indeed used.
