M-Sport package equipped 5-series have begun to be delivered. The package includes M sport bumper, M-sport rear bumper, sideskirts, two M-sport wheel options - the 18″ double spoke 350M wheels or the 19″ double spoke 351M wheels, and dark chrome tail pipes.

The 2011 5-series and 2011 X3 have been named as 2 of 41 total contenders for the 2011 Car of The Year Award. A winner will be chosen on Nov. 29. All of the contenders are new vehicles available now or soon in five or more European markets, and each has the prospect of at least 5,000 yearly sales. The voting process has two stages. The first one will produce a short list of seven nominees, which will be announced on 2 November. The second round will find the single winner that will be made known on November 29th, 2010.
