Alpina teases the new Alpina B7 with this hand drawing of what the car will look like. I have to admit this is extremly slick and professional in appearance and I think Alpina will hit a homerun with this car

The competition is certainly heating up between the tuners as they are now releasing images of the latest BMW cars with wheels only to bide their time before they finalize their complete packages. Hartge has jumped into the mix with these photos of the BMW 7 Series riding on some Classic wheels.

This here is the 2009 7 series in the safest and heaviest edition. It looks almost the same as the regular new 7 series. What gives it away are the wide fail-safe tires and flag holders on the fenders.

BMW 5 Series and X5 are rated VR4 level, new 7 Series Security is very likely rated as VR6/VR7. Windows are at least 22 mm thick, body panels are made of ballistic-resistant armored fiber.

The car can resist most firearms from .44 and 357 Magnums to 9 mm Luger. There are also different electronical features such as cameras with intercom and automatic door locking in the case of attack.

New 7 Series Security should go on sale next year and can be purchased through a local dealership. If you are not a hated politician … CONTINUED

The BMW 7 Series including the ActiveHybrid makes its debut at the LA AutoShow today. The U.S. will get two variants of the new 7-Series including the 750i and the 750 Li. The outgoing 360-hp 4.8L V8 will be replaced by the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 from the X6 xDrive50i.

That makes an outstanding 400-hp with a maximum torque of 450 lb-ft for the very-large sedan. Mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, BMW says that fuel-economy was also improved but wouldn’t give us any specific numbers. What they did tell us was that the 2009 BMW 7-Series will be the first car to get its own “Integrated Owner’s Manual.” What does that mean?

The BMW 7 Series is fresh onto dealers lots and BMW tuner Hamann is wasting no time at all and has already created fitments for the new F01. They assure us that more bodywork is on the way in the future, but for now their wheels are available in a multitude of sizes.

A 7Post members stumbled upon the all new F01 7 Series outside his building today wearing only black stripes. Hats off to member ‘gqmd’ for having a high resolution digital camera handy!
