BMW says the answer is carbon fiber technology, which it believes will fundamentally change the car industry, becoming increasingly important in the quest for lighter-weight materials to reduce fuel consumption and lower … CONTINUED

From our site member “BMW M Power Mexico”, comes some great insights from retired VP of BMW Product Development into the development process of BMWs, 6 series, hydrogen 7, X3, turbos, and BMW’s competition.
BMW of North America has announced a modest inflationary price increase effective January 1, 2012. The Destination and Handling fee for all models will be increased to $895 on that date as well. This increase is less than one percent and applies to the models listed in the table below. In these tough economic times a careful balance was attained between the competitive situation, inflationary conditions, and market realities.

The F01 7-Series has been a real hit for BMW, but the company is not resting on its laurels. An LCI 7-Series has been planned for some time, and should be arriving to market in the near future. The overarching theme of this LCI (stands for Life Cycle Impulse — A facelift), is to ‘not fix it if it ain’t broke’. The changes are subtle on the whole and aim to freshen and not re-invent the look.
These series of spyphotos seem to confirm what was previously … CONTINUED
