BMW trotted out its latest BMW M Performance Parts wares and models.
The 2012 Essen Motor Show is underway and BMW has trotted out many of its models showcasing BMW M Performance Parts. Of particular note is the debut of the F31 3 Series Touring with M Performance Parts.
The F31 and F11 generally share the M Performance Parts from the sedan versions [recent F30 gallery] – including black kidney grilles, front bumper splitters (carbon fiber for the F11), carbon fiber mirror caps, rear diffuser, side skirt trim, M Performance brakes, M Performance exhaust system [recent sample video] and 20″ wheels (different styles for the F31 and F11). The F31 also features side body pinstripes.

Have a look at some goodies on display at the 2012 Performance Racing Industry show, an annual trade show for the racing and tuning industry.
There are two beautiful 7 Series sedans on display at the 2012 LA Auto Show. One is a frozen white 2013 BMW 750Li (long wheelbase) M Sport Individual and the other is a Alpina B7 SWB.
Making its first public showing is the BMW Individual X6 Performance Edition (xDrive50i). This model is limited to 100 units and is only for the US market. It combines custom interior design elements with the engine performance enhancements of the X6 M Performance Package (ZMX).

The 2012 Concept Vehicle of the Year Award winner, the electric hybrid BMW i8 Spyder Concept [Official Info Thread], is making its North American debut at the 2012 LA Auto Show now underway.
We were able to get up close and personal with the i8 Spyder and have posted our photos inside.

We’re live at the 2012 LA Auto Show where the i3 Concept Coupe is making its world premiere. See the photo gallery inside.
The i3 Concept Coupe is built on the same wheelbase/platform as the four-door i3, and likewise features a carbon fiber reinforced plastic body matched to a 170hp / 184 lb-ft torque electric engine driving the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission.
The interior is the most production ready version in any i3 concept model shown yet and features a layered design mimicking the exterior’s layered design. A mixture of leather, wood, wool and other renewable raw materials compose the interior materials.

As we pointed out yesterday, BMW had a not so subtle hint in its press release highlighting its 2012 LA Auto Show lineup about “more BMW i news at the show,” which we inferred as a possible clue regarding a debut of the recently rumored BMW i4 Concept.
BMW has just announced (see below) today that there will indeed by a new BMW i Concept Vehicle making its world debut at next week’s LA show. If this turns out to be the i4 Concept, expect that it may be a two seater i8-like sports car, utilizing the i3′s drivetrain.
