Reporting LIVE from the 2011 New York International Autoshow (NYIAS)! The show has officially kicked off its media days and we can tell you already this show is better with more variety of cars on display then usually seen at the NYIAS.
The BMW display was in its normal place with its typical hardwood floors and a wide array of vehicles on display. Of course, the really important vehicles on display at the BMW stand are:

The 2011 Shanghai Auto Show kicked off yesterday and this year’s show highlights the importance BMW now places on the Chinese market. The F10 M5 concept and the 2012 6-series coupe both made their world public debuts. Also being shown for the first time was the F10 5-series plug-in hybrid prototype.

The F10 M5 concept has made its first public debut at a 2011 Shanghai Autoshow pre-show press event. The F10 M5 concept has previously only been shown in a private event hosted by BMW M GmbH at the Garching headquarters.

The NYIAS will be upon us next week and there will be two exciting BMW premieres coming to the show: 1) New generation TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine and the first vehicle to carry it, and 2) New BMW 6 Series Coupe (F13).
The new TwinPower Single Turbo 2.0L 4-cylinder N20 motor has already debuted in the European X1 xDrive28i. At the 2011 NYIAS, this new motor will be presented with the first BMW model to receive it in the United States. The N20 motor features direct injection and valvetronic, and is good for 245hp / 258 lb-ft torque and 35.7mpg – all better figures than the 3.0L inline-6 motor it will replace.

Well folks, we’re all done here at the 2011 Geneva auto show and hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as we enjoyed sharing it with our community. Geneva is always an exciting show because of all shows, it’s arguably the largest in the world and always features an unrivaled number of exotics and tuning companies on display. Geneva is also traditionally one of the most important shows for BMW due to its proximity to BMW’s home market and prominence among the auto show circuit events.
This year again featured several debuts of BMW models, packages, and technologies, as well as plenty of aftermarket tuner models. As a show wrap-up, we’ve summarized our coverage below, enjoy!

The F10 5-series appears to be the darling of the BMW tuners this year at Geneva. Kelleners Sport brought only one car to the show – their Kelleners 520d M-sport. At a glance, Kellener’s F10 program features:
· Enhanced performance for petrol and diesel engines
· Comprehensive aerodynamics package creates a sporty appearance
· 20-inch alloy wheels in “Hamburg” and “Berlin” designs
· Interior enhanced with added accessories
Kelleners Sport engineers have unleashed around 20 per cent more engine power for petrol and diesel models. The 520d (the car on display at Geneva) now reaches 218 hp (160 kW), instead of the standard 184 hp (135kW), and maximum torque reaches 450 instead of 380 Newton metres.
