We recently attended the awsome Weyermann Malzfabrik classic car show in Bamberg, Germany.
The show was held on the factory grounds of Weyermann, a beer malt maker. Actually in typical German fashion their full name is: Malzfabrik Mich. Weyermann® GmbH & Co. KG.
Weyermann makes the malts that beer breweries used to make various flavored beers. They make one of the main ingredients for making beer. And they are at the top of their game. Sold in over 130 countries, their product is a household name in the beer industry. One of the “small’ brewers in the states uses their malts. You might have heard of Sam Adams.
Anyways… here is a look at their annual classic (oldtimer treffen) car show held every July. I know next’s year show … CONTINUED

The second day of the 2012 Paris auto show press days brought up a few new models, including this BMW X6 M50d in Individual Pearl Silver. Besides the beautiful exterior, we loved the standard alcantara/nappa interior and flywheel black interior trim.
Photos and a equipment/option list is below. Also see our Official X6 M50d Info Thread.
X6 M50d specs:
Nothing new was shown on this F30 with M Performance Parts at the 2012 Paris auto show, but it’s still good eye candy. Here’s a quick rundown of the parts you see in the photos below (we’ve also reposted photos we took at the 2012 AMI show in May). Also reference the full BMW M Performance Parts Catalog.

One of our favorite cars of the BMW display at the 2012 Paris show is this cashmere silver F11 5 series touring sitting on a set of 20″ V-Spoke Style 356 wheels in Liquid Black finish. The upsized wheels fill out the F11′s fenders very nicely and the liquid black wheels look great contrasted against cashmere silver.
The price on these 356 wheels are not for the weak-hearted however, as they are listed (MSRP) at $839 for the fronts and $865 for the rears (as listed in this recently released 6 Series accessories brochure).
The BMW M display at this year’s 2012 Paris auto show featured the latest M models to be released – the F10 M5 and F12 M6 coupe. What you see is the 2013 M6 in Sakhir Orange, its launch color. The 2013 M5 wears Frozen Grey, a BMW Individual color which looked excellent under the show lights. Also on display was the M5/M6′s monster 560hp V8 twin turbo S63Tu engine.
Most of you have read about the M5, M6 and S63Tu specs repeated times already, but for reference or as a refresher, see the official info threads linked inside.
The 2012 Concept Vehicle of the Year Award winner, the electric hybrid BMW i8 Spyder Concept [Official Info Thread], made its first auto show appearance since its world premiere at the Beijing auto show in April.
This was our first look at the i8 Spyder in person and I found it even more impressive and eye catching than the coupe version. We previously put together a photo comparison you can see to form your opinion.
The star of this year’s BMW exhibit and press conference at the 2012 Paris auto show is the recently announced BMW Concept Active Tourer (C.A.T.) FWD electric hybrid car [Official Info Thread].
The BMW C.A.T. offers an initial insight into the company’s further innovations for the premium compact segment, as well as a preview of a future 1 Series production model. In this study, BMW demonstrates what it calls groundbreaking solutions in terms of both the interior and the drive concept.
As BMW describes:
With an external length of 4,350 millimetres, sporty proportions and hallmark lines, the concept study brings characteristic BMW aesthetic appeal to yet another vehicle segment. A raised seating position, generous space for driver and passengers and the flexibly extendable luggage compartment are the defining … CONTINUED
