For the first time outside of BMW. The Gran Lusso Concept car has been shown at the BMW Pavillion at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Photo gallery from the 2013 German Car Fest, which took place recently at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver. It is hosted by the BMW Car Club of BC, Porsche Club of America – Canada West Region, and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America – BC Section. It was open to all German cars, and proceeds and non-perishable food donations benefit the North Shore Harvest Project.
My pictures mostly covers the BMWs in attendance, plus a smattering of general pictures from the other makes.
This weekend was the annual Sport Auto (a German car magazine) drift challenge and fastest lap around HockenheimRing.
Sport Auto calls it: “High Performance Days”. Its generally just a bad a$$ car show with a track day thrown in for good measure. All the German manufactures bring their museum and production cars for display. And then you have the drifting crowd that brings their machines to shred tires with! Its a great weekend car event. We went and toured the paddock area for a few hours Friday. The event is held all weekend a Hockenheim near Frankfurt/Heidelberg area. Here are our pics.

Video of BMW at the Auto Shanghai 2013, with press conferences showing the BMW X4 Concept, as well as visual highlights from the BMW display.
We had the good fortune to attend the Techno Classica car show in Essen this past weekend. BMW had a HUGE display(again) this year. What I always love about BMW’s display is that they bring their old classic cars from BMW Classic while they also invite the “creme dela creme” BMW car clubs thru out Germany, to come out and represent the brand. I think this is what makes this show special for me. Members from the various BMW car clubs are on hand to answer any questions you might have. As are Representatives from BMW Classic and Motorsports Dept.
The Techno Classica is a HUGE event, much liker the Frankfurt autoshow (IAA) – you could spend several days there and NOT see every car on … CONTINUED
The highlight of the BMW display at the 2013 Auto Shanghai show is the BMW Concept X4 [full gallery], but there are other highlights and (Asian) debuts at the show.
Here is a gallery showing some of these other models.

We were on hand to witness the BMW X4 Concept making its world debut today at the 2013 Auto Shanghai. As the X4 Concept draws heavily on the design of the X6 SAC, it looks very much like a mini-X6. Expect certain elements on the concept model to be changed when the production version hits the market next year – notably the headlight lighting elements, front bumper, mirrors and door handles.
The interior was not showcased, but expect it to share an interior with the current F25 X3. Enjoy the images from the show below.

With its latest models and groundbreaking concept studies on show at Auto Shanghai 2013 [beginning April 20, 2013], BMW is offering a clear pointer to its continuing model push.
The Shanghai show is the stage for the world premiere of the BMW Concept X4, which carries the attributes of a Sports Activity Coupe into a further vehicle segment. The study reveals at first sight how smoothly the qualities of a BMW X model meld with the genes of a BMW Coupe.
Auto Shanghai 2013 also sees the Asian premiere of a further BMW concept: the BMW Concept Active Tourer affords a preview of how comfort and functionality of space can be combined with dynamics and style in the premium compact segment.
Just around the corner, meanwhile, is the … CONTINUED
