Time flies! The next gen BMW X3 has already begun testing. The next X3 is due around 2016-2017 and here’s the first spotted prototype. It was spied testing with the current X3, and a check into German records confirmed this prototype registered as an X3.
It’s still covered in substantial camouflage, so don’t be fooled by the heavy covering. The lights are especially covered in a way in order to deceive as to their true shape below.

Recent comments by BMW hint at a possible longer than usual model life for the current E89 Z4. The usual model life for a BMW is 6-7 years, which means that the current Z4, which began production in 2009, is up for a brand new redesign soon.

Munich. The BMW Group achieved its best-ever February sales result with 151,952 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles delivered worldwide (prev. yr. 141,207/ +7.6%).
