Making its New York Autoshow premiere is the X3 LCI, which was announced earlier this year
Last year, BMW first introduced the world to the BMW Concept X5 eDrive and now the “concept” vehicle is visiting the New York Autoshow. This is by far one of the more interesting prospects for BMW in the realm of electrified vehicles, especially from the POV of people who can’t yet make the full leap to the BMWi vehicles.
The X5 is powered by a combination of a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder combustion engine and a 95-horsepower electric motor. This results in an average MPG of 62 and CO2 emissions of less then 90 grams per kilometer. The BMW Concept X5 eDrive obtains its electrical energy from a (lithium-ion) high-voltage battery, which is accommodated under the flat luggage compartment floor.

Inspired by the original formula of BMW “S-package” vehicles manufactured in the course of the past three decades, the new Track Handling Package embraces the desires of the most enthusiastic BMW drivers. It includes the M Adaptive Suspension, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on unique 18-inch light-alloy wheels , Variable Sport Steering, and M Sport Brakes. In truly awesome news, BMW is going to bring the Alpina 6-Series Gran Coupe to the USA, in the guise of the 2015 BMW ALPINA B6 xDrive Gran Coupe
Just to recap the BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe is a monster 540-HP (540Lb-Ft Torque) 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 powered 6GC created by Alpina in close co-operation with BMW. Like the Alpina 7 Series, the 6GC will come to the USA as a top of the line configuration, which means xDrive and an 8-Speed automatic transmission, Alpina’s own Switch-Tronic system.
The Alpina B6 also features Electronic Damping Control and Active Roll Stabilization technology, achieving a top speed of 198mph!

While we are all familiar with the upcoming M3, we haven’t really gotten too many looks at the F80 in colors aside from Yas Marina Blue and Austin Yellow.

Making its U.S. debut a the 2014 New York Auto Show is the 4-Series Gran Coupe. The now familiar Gran Coupe moniker means this is a 4-door sedan but with a sloping coupe like silhouette.
This is the first time BMW has attempted this formula in the small/mid-size luxury sedan format, but it does come across pretty nicely.
Prices in the U.S. will start at a base MSRP of:
$41,225, including $925 Destination & Handling for the 428i Gran Coupe,
$43,225, including Destination & Handling, for the 428i xDrive Gran Coupe, and
$46,725, including $925 Destination & Handling for the 435i Gran Coupe.
The new BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) bows its head for the first time in public at the New York Autoshow. Based on the current X3, the new X4 comes in at $45,625 and will be offered in the familiar 240HP 2.0L 4-cylinder N20, dubbed the xDrive28i and the Turbocharged 3.0L 6-cylinder xDrive35i ($48,925).
The X4 starts production this summer at BMW’s Spartanburg South Carolina plant. Expect to see the X4 dueling it out with the upcoming Porsche Macan!
Welcome the all new 2015 BMW M4 Convertible.
The highlight for BMW at the New York Autoshow has to be the M4 Convertible. The car shares the same drivetrain and dimensions as the M4 Coupe, but ditches its fixed top for a retractable hard top and weighing in at around 3900lbs.
BMW has confirmed that the car will arrive to U.S. showrooms during the summer of 2014 and will be priced nicely at $73,425 (including Destination & Handling).
