A list of the unveilings for the upcoming Montreal Autoshow starting this Friday has revealed that a 328d diesel F30 3 series model is bound for Canada.

BMW has recently revealed its LCI (”Life Cycle Impulse”) update to the venerable Z4, an LCI update that is very mild. For good measure, the Z4 is one of the most beautiful BMW roadsters to date. This video released by BMW today helps showcase the car with a soothing soundtrack and nice background.

At the occasion of the NAIAS, BMW announced the BMW 320i and 320i xDrive for the US market. Available for other markets since the F30’s introduction in February 2012, US deliveries will start in Spring 2013.
The time is ripe for the new X5 to be shown off, and these low quality and somewhat dithered images which were leaked onto the web, certainly look official.
Infact, the BMW X5 has been slowing dropping its camo to reveal more and more of its flesh and these images confirm our suspicions on the new design elements the X5 would inherit from the current BMW lineup.
Those elements being the BMW Air Curtain technology which features air vents in the front bumper designed to channel air. These vents have been stylized somewhat with border contrasting color which befits the the SUV body much more.
Also seen here is the possibility of the front fender vent, ie. the boomerang vent that we’ve seen on the F32 concept … CONTINUED

When BMW decided to rename the BMW Z3 to Z4 about a decade ago, it made for a gap in BMW’s lineup. While the Z4 moved up the status ladder it also lost some of the virtues the old BMW Z3 had, like low weight, agility and outright fun. The current Z4 for example weighs almost as much as the F30 3 Series.
It comes as no surprise then that BMW is said to be considering the introduction of a smaller roadster filling the gap the Z3 left when it went out of production. If Autocar’s report is to be believed, they got information on the new Z2 by an official yet unnamed BMW source:
“We are considering a car in the spirit of the original Z3,” … CONTINUED
