With all this recent buzz around the introduction of the new M1 (based off the 1-series) and the new M5, it’s interesting to revisit what would have been one of the most unique M-cars ever — the stillborn BMW M8. While the M8 never made it to production, the 850CSi was massaged by the hands of the M-division.

The BMW 335d Sedan was recently awarded the 2010 “Best New Design” as presented by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). The award was handed out as part of the 2010 Canadian Car of the Year (CCOTY) awards that opened the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

The F10 sedan is due to bow its head in just another few weeks at the Geneva autshow and this F11 Wagon will then appear at the Paris autoshow later in the year, with availablity at dealerships in the summer/fall of 2010. Until then, enjoy some more spy video!

For those not familiar with BMW Performance, its a new range of products in the BMW lineup meant to compete with the aftermarket and offer sporty upgrades to the standard range of BMW cars. The products are supposed to bridge the gap between stock car and ///M car.
BMW Performance is seemingly going all out with the X6, promising to offer upgrades to the drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics and cockpit.
