The Alpina B7 is a hotly anticipated new car from Alpina. In fact in will herald the first car from Alpina tackling the all new styling theme from BMW. Well, as its named.. its a limited sport edition Nice marketing. But seriously, the car does come equipped every X3 should come straight out of the factory with the OEM sport body kit, nicer interior trim and wheels. I love the color too!

BMW is reportedly developing a new navigation element which can guess your next destination based on driving habit and time of day. BMW is sorry Dave, it cannot let you put this route at risk.
The new system would analyze past driving patterns, previous destinations, time of day and other variable and suggest a list of destinations you might be en-route to. Its not a terrible idea, but if you dont know where youre going or how to get there by the time the car has learned where you might be going, theres something wrong. Undoubtedly this technology will be paired with real time traffic, accident and weather notifications to make getting where youre going more reliably quick, but the notion of learning cars freaks us out.… CONTINUED
Is the rumored little roadster from BMW on track for a 2011 debut? Auto Motor und Sport seems to think so. They even have a rendering by renowned artist Mark Stehrenberger to prove it. If we are to believe the rumors, the BMW Z2 should be closer to what the original Z3 was. That is, more of an entry level roadster to compete with the premium versions of the Mazda MX-5, compared to the more upscale Z4 that just debuted, which is more of a Porsche Boxster rival.

Talk about a major screwup. Here we have a leaked photo of the F10 5 Series front end. This is no photoshop job, this is the real deal and it seems to have been leaked WAY in advance of the release of this car and I’d have to assume this is unintended. I do have to say that this looks to be the best styled 5-series ever and I’m in serious anticipation of this car!!

Apparently BMW will be offering performance software for the N54 equiped cars. The HP / TQ increase is moderate but it looks like they will add additional cooling. I have a e92 with the M sport package on order for March production. I just emailed my salesman to see if I can add this.
BMW has just issued a press release during the Geneva show that the BMW Performance division will release a tune for the x35i engine. 326 hp (crank) instead of 306, 450 nm torque (crank; 430 for manual transmissions) instead of the stock 400. Apparently an additional water cooler along with a more powerful fan will be added, in addition to the reprogramming of the ECU. No pricing information released yet.
