This is some great news! It sounds like BMW made a little uptick this last month as an overall global group.
BMW sold 90,383 cars, up 11.1% (compared to Nov 2008)
MINI sold 17,199 cars, up 13.8%
The increase in BMW cars sales were on the backs of the new 7 series and the Z4, with smaller gains seen with the 1 series, 3 series and 5 series. The newcomers did well also: 2,940 BMW X1s and 1,110 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismos were delivered November.

German carmaker BMW AG said Tuesday its net income fell 74 percent in the third quarter as it continued to be affected by the global economic downturn.
BMW, the world’s biggest luxury car company by sales, said net income for the period amounted to euro78 million ($115 million), down from euro298 million in the July-September period of 2008.
BMW’s share price slid 7.1 percent to euro31.20 in Frankfurt after the earnings announcement as net income came in well below the consensus estimate of around euro150 million.
The Munich-based company said it delivered 7.2 percent fewer cars during the July-September period and that its revenue fell 6.6 percent to euro11.8 billion from euro12.6 billion in the July-September period of 2008.

Facilities such as the new Aerodynamic Test Centre enable engineers of the BMW Group to improve aerodynamics at an early stage of the development process so as to make a contribution to increasingly efficient vehicles.
BMW has released official BMW and Mini bluetooth headsets. The headsets may be combined with all mobile phones able to interact with Bluetooth and are scheduled to join the wide range of Original BMW Accessories and Original MINI Accessories as of December 2009.

From 2010, BMWs Landshut plant will boast the worlds first foundry with emission-free sand core production. The light-alloy foundry at the BMW plant is introducing a new sand core production method for gravity die-casting, whereby conventional organic binders will be replaced by highly eco-friendly inorganic binders, which generate virtually no pollutant emissions. The introduction of this innovative production method will allow the light-alloy foundry to reduce its emissions of combustion residues by 98 per cent. The plant will completely decommission its current waste air treatment systems by 2010.
The Landshut light-alloy foundrys approximately 1,300 employees currently produce around 1.8 million aluminium and magnesium castings a year, with a total weight of 45,000 tonnes. … CONTINUED

Light. More specifically, interior lighting. So what? Well, some time ago, BMW had made a conscious effort to improve the interior lighting and give the car an actual ambiance while inside, in the same way a clubs lighting gives the place a certain feel.
