The invite only event catered only to the fastest time attack teams in the country and the event saw a stacked field. The EAS Supercharged BMW M3 fit into the Limited RWD class, marking its first time within the series.

The 40 Years of M event we attended this week at the Nurburgring presented not just one surprise (M6 Gran Coupe debut), but also the reveal of the limited edition BMW M3 DTM Champion Edition.
This limited edition E92 M3 coupe commemorates Bruno Spengler’s championship in the recently concluded DTM 2012 season. As you can see, the car mimics Bruno Spengler’s matte black BMW Bank M3 race car. It will be limited to 54 units.

The final race of the 2012 DTM race season took place on October 21, 2012 at the Hockenheim Ring. Early morning that day, four of ///M Flight members set off on a 1.5hr trip from Kaiserslautern to Hockenheim Ring. The trip was courtesy of Akrapovic.

2012 DTM Champion Bruno Spengler was busy kicking butt and becoming a champion during the recently concluded DTM season, but found time at the Dingolfing DTM race to mingle with fans and give joy rides in the DTM M3 Safety Car.
From the look on the fans’ faces, there was plenty of joy provided champion racer’s rides.

The M Flight club also had a good turnout with lots of M cars up on the top floor of the parkhaus.
