We bring you the first video of the F34 3 Series Gran Turismo (GT) in action. 335i prototypes were spotted on and around the Nurburgring as it recently began its performance testing at the Ring.
The 3 Series GT is being tested concurrently with the other future F3x variants - the F32 coupe and F33 convertible.
The overall apperance of the 3 series GT will follow the 5 Series GT in having some independent styling from the other 3 series variants. Unlike the 5 Series GT however, it will feature a simple hatch design/function rather than the twin trunk arrangement. It should also have sportier styling and driving intentions than the 5 Series GT, which its retractable spoiler seems to be a sign of.

Good news for iPhone users. iOS6 is finally supporting iDrive Office integration via Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile). Bluetooth MAP is the protocol used to retrieve email messages through iDrive, which currently only works with Blackberry and a few other devices.

Alpina has released a preview render of the F30 Alpina B3. Expect it to debut at next year’s Geneva show in March 2013 and to be powered by same N55 engine which powers the current B3 S, but massaged by Alpina to an even higher output than the current B3 S which has 400HP.

We spotted the upcoming 3 series GT (Gran Turismo) out on the highway recently. As you can see, it had its retractable spoiler extended while at speed.
Expect the 3 Series Gran Turismo F34 to debut sometime in 2013 and in both gasoline and diesel models.

A BMW Driving Academy event was recently held at the famous Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Monza Track) which is located near the town of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. The circuit’s biggest event is the Formula One Italian Grand Prix, but a fleet of BMWs recently took over the track for the BMW Driving Academy.
Available for the driving experience at the academy were many F30 3 series (with E90/E92 3 series for comparison), the F10 M5, the F12 M6 convertible, M550d xDrive 5 Series sedan, X5 M, and refreshed X6 Ms.

Here’s a brief overview of two of the technologies featured in most of the BMW engines available today - TwinPower Turbo and VALVETRONIC (variable valve timing) technology. Valvetronic was first introduced by BMW on the 316ti compact in 2001, and has since often been coupled with BMW’s double-VANOS.
Until 2012, no M model used Valvetronic, but instead continued to feature multiple throttle-bodied designs.
