A list of the unveilings for the upcoming Montreal Autoshow starting this Friday has revealed that a 328d diesel F30 3 series model is bound for Canada.
At the occasion of the NAIAS, BMW announced the BMW 320i and 320i xDrive for the US market. Available for other markets since the F30’s introduction in February 2012, US deliveries will start in Spring 2013.
The first photos of the 2014 Lexus IS have just been revealed. In F-Sport guise, the IS is a direct competitor to the F30 3 Series M Sport.
Much like the BMW F30’s M Sport package, the IS F Sport package includes items such as an aerodynamic kit, larger wheels, lower suspension and sportier interior trim, with no changes to the powerplant.
The new 2014 IS has been built on a longer wheelbase and will offer more interior space than the predecessor. It will launch with a choice of two V6 engines - a 2.5L and 3.5L, with a four-cylinder hybrid powerplant to come later. The BMW 3 Series has taken the sales crown for the compact luxury sports sedan segment for the year 2012. BMW sold 99,602 3 Series in 2012 compared to 81,697 C-Class sold by Mercedes Benz. The 3 Series figures include sales of the E92, E93, F30 and F31 models.
BMW managed this feat even with some supply constraints on the F30 3 Series experienced during earlier parts of 2012.
