I see a 1 series in the pic. Would these throw a code for our cars?

For the 1-series, you will probably have to use the Halogen H8 35w bulbs that the newer BMWs are coming standard in (e.g. the E92). The 1 series you see in the pictures are for the hatchbacks, which had the ring structure like the E90.
