Just did a 1/4 mile at a local event in Bombay. Managed to do a 13.2 on my first run. Could have gone a bit better if I had used a bit more revs at the launch. As it is I launched at around 3,500 - 4,000 rpm in M dynamic mode. I think given that there was quite a bit of rubber on the start line and my tyres had been warmed-up a bit by me doing a couple of burn-outs, I could have launched at around 5,000 rpm and not had much wheel-spin.

Oh well, that'll have to wait for a year, this event only happens once a year here and it's not a real drag strip, just a relatively decent piece of road and a bunch of car nuts having fun!

How was it timed?

Thats what i'm wondering, with a stopwatch maybe? If so I don't think thats too accurate.

Sorry I didn't reply to you guys earlier, I dunno why the thread didn't show-up in my subscribed threads list.

The timing was done electronically with a couple of sensors I believe at the start and finish. There wasn't a speed trap, so no idea what my MPH was, but I will venture a guess...it must have been around 180 Km/H or so, because I'd just shifted into 4th gear before the 1/4 mile, so that would be around 113 MPH.

...and yes, I had *obviously* run a fair few Kms before doing this! ;)
