Congrats you guys. My dealer told me that my M-DKG sedan has been assigned a tentative allocation for a build during the first week in June. Will be a long wait.

On a related note, do any of you know which dealers in Houston will be getting demo cars (or should I say keeping a car to be demo'd)? My dealer (Clear Lake) told me they will be selling their demo allocation so they likely won't have a car to test drive for a while. Thought this might be helpful for members who want to get behind the whell as soon as possible.

Should be Saturday March 8th or early next week. Car is scheduled to leave VPC on th 5th.

If this is believable: My car arrived at port on the 16th and still has not left according to my CA. Mduval who is going through the same dealer as I am left a few days ago and arrived at port well after I did. :) I really am getting sad about this. It's like someone doesn't want me to have my dream.

I was talking to my sales associate today and he said that the first car they were supposed to get still isn't at the dealer. Originally, it was scheduled to arrive late last week. He told me I can come to the dealer and sniff around it but I can't drive it. All I know is that it is white/black/cf trim.

I hope it comes tomorrow as I've been off since last week moving into my new house and I'm going back to work on Wednesday....not that one couldn't take a long lunch to go and examine a new M:rolleyes:

I'm excited...I was in Houston this past weekend driving my buddies E46M3 with SMG so I could have something to compare it too. I love the E46 with SMG and can only imagine that the M-DCT is going to be so much better. Can't wait!!

It's an 04 model. I believe it's SMG II. The auto mode is absolutely horrendous but in sport mode its quite fun and very aggressive. The shifts are still kind of abrupt and harsh but I really have nothing else to compare it to.

Here in San Antonio, The BMW Center will have a Demo By Friday. And maybe mine will be ready by Saturday. I saw their Inventory report today and they have a Melborne Red coupe(DEMO)coming in this week. Both cars were released to the carrier's today 3-4-08. :clap: :thumbsup:

I will check Advantage Midtown and get the skinny there. My guess is that if Momentum has one you will be lucky to get within 25 feet of it. Not to be harsh on Momentum but they really don't get it when it comes to customer friendliness. SA do you think the BMW Center will let you do a hands on?

I don't know, But the what GM told me is that this demo was going to be only for viewing no test drives. But after as many M Cars that I have bought from them in the last 5-6 years they better let me drive it if mine is not ready.

When it actually gets on a boat your CA will know the ship line and boat name. I was impatient and started to look at the ship schedules for Wallenius Wilhelmsen who traditionally BMW uses to get the cars to Charleston. The Wilhelmsen site actually allows you to enter your VIN to see if your car is on one of its boats. I unfortunately was thrown a curve ball and put on K-Line's Emden which actually is a faster boat but I cannot enter my VIN# nor track the boat very easy. My guess is that from looking at the schedule you may make "Courage" a Wilhelmsen boat that leaves tomorrow if your car is at the dock now.

Once your boat leaves port it will let you enter your VIN so you can track it. It will let you track it from port to port and is typically accurate. Hope that helps. Mine is scheduled to arrive the 11th and Mduval's on the 15th. SOON Baby SOON

I can confirm this as well. Just called & talked to my SA/CA. He said it's a Silverstone II w/Fox red interior. I'd love to go check it out but it's snowing & it's rush hour traffic right now...doh! :(

Spoke to BMW Clear Lake and the coupe is in, being prepped and will be in the showroom later Friday or Saturday at the latest. CA will confirm by tomorrow whether it can be driven or not. Sedan is scheduled to arrive next week. Same spec's as the Midtown sedan it sounds like. I am going to try to swing by the Midtown store tonight or tomorrow and check out the red leather in person.

Dealers are being so funny about test drives. First word from my dealer is the demos are being sold; no test drives. Now, there seems to be some question about whether they will sell the car or use it as a demo.

To further complicate matters, even if they do sell (or attempt to sell) the demo cars, they may allow test drives, or may simply allow you to RIDE in the car with the dealer driving. My CA says "People may not want to buy a car this expensive if it has 100 miles on it" to which I replied "I don't really want to spend this much on a car without test driving it."

Oh, and I think the coupes are red on beige, which is IMO the absolute worst color combo available. Seems it would be smarter to just demo these.

Different strokes for different folks I guess since I love Melbourne red metallic (in pics at least) although I prefer black leather interior. Anyway, can you or anybody confirm for sure the coupe is Melbourne red metallic? I'm going down to Houston end of this month & would love to see it in person IF they haven't sold it by then. Thx! :)

I stopped by BMW of North Houston today at lunch. They have a demo MB/Bamboo. They said it was not spoken for and plan to keep it a few weeks before selling it. Not sure if they will allow test drives but not today. They had another car that I didn't see but it was a customer car.
Didn't get a chance to go up to the Woodlands to see the sedan.

I was at Momenum Southwest today...they have a Melbourne Red, bamboo,carbon fiber,.....but no carbon fiberroof ...sun roof instead....was able to get in it, start it, and rev the engine, twice. I have bought 2 M3's through these guys, and they offered to sell this car to me at MSRP.

car was optioned out at $69,000......unless your a repeat buyer, they will raise the price for a minimum of 5 grand...thats what the sales man told me.....

i think the car look's "f-ing" fast just sitting there. red looks much better in person..... I had to pass on it though....i'd have a hard time not having the carbon fiber roof.

The Volvo dealership next door (I did not go by there) but i was told they have one as well but they are adding 10,000$ to the price. a truck is supposed to arrive tomorrow with a couple more.

BMW of Austin has a Melbourne Red/Bamboo coupe that's sold but in the showroom, beautiful. They also have a SSII/Fox Red sedan fully loaded in PDI that will be a demo, going for a test drive tomorrow. They expect a Black/Black coupe this week that will also be demo.

I loved how SSII and FR looked in the sedan, that's what I'm going with, still can't decide on which trim.

I checked out SSII/FR sedan at BMW Woodlands today at lunch. The CA took me for a spin (he drove) and it was great. The engine sounded great at 4k rpm when we first started and once it warmed up he rev'd to 5500 and it was awesome. He did take some sharp turns and it handled beautifully. We were at 80 and it pulled easily when he put some gas to it. I can't wait to hear it at 8400 rpm.
As for the SSII/FR combo, I went there mainly to see FR. I had never (and still don't) plan to get silver. I was planning on AW/FR however, but now I'm not sure. The FR didn't quite wow me like I wanted it to. It was very nice but I hoped for a little more red. Now I'm debating AW/FR, AW/Black, or MR/Black.

Thanks fellas. I'm actually hoping to get a K-line ship now as I have missed the Integrity that left on Monday. K-line ships sail to SC in 10 days vs 19 days for WW. Also there are more ships leaving each week.

Thanks fellas. I'm actually hoping to get a K-line ship now as I have missed the Integrity that left on Monday. K-line ships sail to SC in 10 days vs 19 days for WW. Also there are more ships leaving each week.

One pro to missing the boat and catching K-Line is that the boat is smaller and faster.

I went and drove the e90 this morning and I'm really impressed. Apparently, another CA had a deal pending on the car so we only got a chance to putt around downtown but you can tell there is a beast that is just dying to be unleashed.

My buddy and I left around 11:30 and Ricardo knew a white e92 was to be delivered today but it hadn't arrived by the time I left. Domer...you are going to love your car. I still have about three weeks but getting a taste of what's to come made my wait a whole lot easier.

Where's your car at? Mine left VPC on Thursday and my CA said it should be in HOuston tomorrow!!! Unfortunately, I'll be out of town for the weekend and won't be able to make it back to Houston untill Monday/Tuesday!

My CA said that my car left VPC on Wednesday and has a good shot at arriving either today or tomorrow. I probably still won't be able to pick it up until Tuesday. It's hard to believe that this process is about to end. :thumsup: I've already begun to have trouble sleeping at night; thinking with aniticipation of her arrival. Which dealer are you getting yours from? Mine is going to Advantage down in Clear Lake.
