What do you guys think? I hate the 0-60 thing but my friend that just got word that I have the new E92 M3 challenged me to a race. He has the E63 SMG. Thinking in the next few weeks we will take our cars out to sears point for the 1/4 mile run. I will make sure to take video's

what??? he has a BMW M6 with SMG (E63) or did you want to say he has Mercedes E63 AMG?

Not really a fair race, especially in a 1/4 mile. 420hp vs 507hp, not to mention the gargantuan torque advantage the E63 has. Regardless, it should be fun, so go for it. Let us know how it goes, see if you can video the run. Good luck and be safe, but most of all, have fun.

Well yes, but the engine is in my opinion also an integral part of a car. Not just the suspension setup...

E63 is likely to blow you away!!! Torque is crazy, I have an E55 AMG and its faster than my E92 M3. Not too much faster though, so good luck!!! Now, if your talking a few chicans, you will blow him away then!!!! Let us know how it goes!!!

By the way, I'll be taking my E92 M3 up against a C63 AMG on Friday, will take pics and everything!!!

Ooooo take me, me, me. i havent been to Sears in years....Wednesday Drag night right? need a camera man? it was $14 for 4-7 runs back in the days. safe and cheap fun

yeah, throw some cones down at the end of the 1/4 mile and see how it does. :)

yep Wednesday nights. Still have about 700 miles before break in is done. Now it costs $20 for 4-7 depending on how many people show. More people less runs. But usally you get 2 free runs then you start the clocking.

Oh its all just for fun. The guy that owns the E63 is actually a Bimmer fan, hes had 2 e46 M3's and loves BMW's.

Yep, I love Bimmer's as well, but AMG have some great qualities!! A bit different than the great feel of the Bimmer's though.
